I appreciate how in MTG, literal eldritch beings that threaten entire universes have a maximum of 15 power, while a single valet can have upwards of 2 billion power if he has enough friends. It's like the final battle in a JRPG.

You have encountered the concept of integer bit sizes. A signed 32 bit integer (one that can have positive and negative numbers) maxes out at 2,147,483,647 in most programming environments. Luckily the MtGA developers protected it otherwise you might have encountered an integer overflow where the number flips around to -2,147,483,648 if you exceed the maximum size. Though your number would have been so large that who's to say where it would have stopped if it wrapped. If MtGA used 64 bit signed integers you could have gone to a power of up to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 which still wouldn't have been enough.
@Kalenz1234

Arena maxes out at 250 tokens so the most you get for Devilish Valet is 2^249 (since it starts at power=1) which is a number with 74 digits. That's way more than any game integer can handle. If you buff Devilish Valet's power through other means it can get even bigger.

If you think logically about the power/toughness of creatures it's clear that a linear increase in the number corresponds to an exponential increase in actual power as little pets or normal soldiers have 1/1 but reality warping world ending monstrosities are at 10/10 and the latter are definitely more than 10 times as strong as the average dude. Cannonically this was more like a multiverse ending attack.

The Valet combo is my backup wincon in my Jinne Fay + Stimulus Package Naya flood deck. It rarely needs the Valet, but that guy can hit HARD, as you have proven. Also, FYI, if you want to jank it up even farther, add in Mystic Reflection to make each of those 250 tokens be a copy of Valet, each of which triggers each others' doubling effect.

The Devilish Valet's power was 128 (2^7) when you played Tend the Pests, which made 235 tokens. Fun fact: If it wasn't for the limitations of the game, after sacrificing the remaining 6 treasures for 6 tokens, the two Devilish Valets powers would have been 2^14 (=16384) and 2^13 (=8192). With Tend the Pests that's 16384 tokens and the remaining Devilish Valet's power would have become 2^16397 which is a 4936 digit number. The number: 9746280409966442619582540403736634415214138876694611865376152135542877046214522363121570574111637830984625663875803621448889691187680767396040906328814100529814500428726312120501397517267201612562041616052077656858924216031895427356379389688591271022395755220212827118840109918726030612037631064392551276692445719456323837659739854906689868705029121658203056733800594473689641102313640843965624694831356259791849172597996075906094615030528824586562442441893423375796566160662244600095650251852757346563898474626321733019974308151815530372207410372449264550093796757275048939022920279641316906642156478064842662007552548030783442494860495786950069265515105577744726823514890872180225181218765943970901013993376335795062694535670984504732342188310663100355555206996089632131776330933521590961982257027575330022012995592101282045090116441507046230075475081681494242000924196466322044531491399938781980011839206264336424822138921470214362121830793561291228774416883658208716698614643758100313924181012339412489871753495876676296813653245935949430035762276774748308998247003945093359540624848631470554331056254221770558829763607507796111504932361731998416969271306312310535687079478345283831053061037638063830265486592632319414533284661483070417498085856900140533300654839335688772098738564009809402774029672795820483678470594973763091594173209508248925368707410915930117742716498404126335303950594217439381229520450655814268912522021149911806865155803333605871575678806225360037191547699708322336907957431250649388159544028895946114526027422711087453306909586381121766979256746758658140624515496675984266404675546604893197833581590641218390773599091969354581710708299825750072582872027104256410158339352598620550464024562462659885455966718461627672777396761290873621853390111729056760092477537954112155371091161528981458327221851215901718694758212617380270482433879638344901548406221700103934056927848401075170963079863459726581930351058787854054670789174604936651620077192478322498835112998678555023905465483862519651434674338351828313124019227618996845330862761106869839869572698506242422996344311398585560492031586965161606890150687137152132318276166025314090054750845546769006500676864617999032494615037002394750574766123939495145438551761927571055967249941372397616451907487472821190191262708601971298081118217148130321255599514266448307300053425279302062923601062459761467198938637041046816594976054482159289289009547663010874652403175993675902181614987733339786377540146579207297117808014136260625915837754301128981603955360330759112680514392173077276874452522830566249618558210020442967598839831029575434478902133503817326998704124233490300779993387935369250623195084305286000065930835056079223501306048803381121319351314304403678050393496486082819110219991571750149820318297908977705952348666842643871846470992138782423043413571337581971236541290288917491476349105058125514246061340278554164792094558734073068636715153653117254796716722949070090652211616428415814405081719515415736333439708761964554274712671683169954544934369483914933706887299638117580026449312242856648202920488879758543819769170345726386222588234015501930371809882346650227264747660552491109419049860747418476654400210446745633905456872514681782858117732896577352786873839311293653915331727599047235946032518650415949519249973020653135392557204749616709417322027477392481913742138411124808100421042503777715437328802863033053593627025538457421905403693946685736091488420761226193068966574062952511925506837064527192097332178480377627776417494147050741835577782318470975202062387342043290766740394491065646341311890938023862561538706630642295586092751922300275787219424064428099864172545503234698104829475750433509700900528697650230082663866750220367090384911868868782855768690104669166750417027993153810755150540489111661847736664877046296751275453546559169921170595002726044502208356230439148056238390568230740897156575703442808057381080246482495760034245278477680564218657263812658742863467246814395328050759715535789929298601134933620331551276623278228399863188291719259523872585540200202700208113409463067921176531282633583480240192877859328687176280163770054179120956365747263610341693623548803111958608848777467116994051286578066792509213530082187383618539045121064502393441213060700489424265184658986832903304970711961676587831153016538333564747162537545733997888381741836368277141013262965052918968214011485018104011682676095859377813862786570934514944192340888687294107032259617360735521069359255776474349029129325453819491712704963122683588346011939878907282117322301775908085065862973626458689630768226823383155806349207235870035630459679743583976689942013632000167655819675036942479678360065794395021616163544240832742605181715078123064242704224630284563054229118880945928147175120766096002940551209650293372771049352560815383097224497732036759716611250576393096516265331838762864549062476528174808549689718208244694574304955982047565168345635356672

Fyi, to the the power of THIRTY is good enough for 137438953472 damage. Actually having done the math, I can tell you that the game failed to add anything after 24. 2 to the power of 24 x 128 is 2147483648 which is one more than your monster has attack. Google calculator turns the math into something I don't recognize if I go over the power or 32 on this.

128 is already 2^7, so your ~2 billion number is already 2^31. The number on the screen is actually (2^31)-1, which is the maximum value a signed 32-bit integer can take: adding one more would overflow it into -(2^32). Your ~137 billion number is 2^37.

2^64 is the legendary doubler in the story about grains of rice on a chessboard. That Valet had 128 power before tend the pests which would be 2^7, after which, 235 tokens were produced. The total number is 2^242, or 2 to the 242nd power... 7.0673883e+72 is how it shows up in Google calculator, but writing it out by hand is in fact an insane quantity.

I am running a similar deck, with not quite the same explosive power, but same idea. My main combo pieces are Devilish Valet and Scute Swarm, and trying to trigger as many landfall procs as possible, to grow Devilish Valet to huge proportions. As a back up, I also run Phylath, which tends to bring out 5-6 tokens when he ETBs, which is usually enough to get my Devil to 100+.

The good old "Hypercancer" deck that takes advantage of Azor's Gateway and Primal Amulet with Sanguine Sacrament to generate infinite life and therefore infinite mana, has the potential to pop March of the Multitudes so many times that at one point it would literally break the game due to integer overflow. It seems they've fixed that since then, but toss in a Devilish Valet and you have another deck capable of hitting the max power the game allows. Incidentally, if they'd coded power as the biggest data type they could (which they don't need to because an int is clearly big enough), and there wasn't a 250 creature limit, you could potentially get Devilish Valet's power to an incomprehensibly large value. Not infinity, but it might as well be. Include Ajani's Welcome, Social Climber, and Dawn of Hope, and cast March for 500 (which is completely reasonable), and that's 2500 items on the stack. Primal Wellspring to double or triple it for 5k or 7.5k items. Not to mention Devilish Valet's power becomes 2 to the power of 1500. Granted, last time I had an opponent who actually let me March for 500, the game crashed, but it's still theoretically possible.

Devilish Valet + Army of the Damned (including flashback) + Fungal Sprouting = 2^(2^26) damage. That's over 20,000,000 digits. It's the highest non-infinite amount of damage possible from just three cards.

I was playing some commander and had a couple snake tokens, an Adrix and Nev Twincasters and 2 non-legendary token copies of it, and 3 second harvest spells on the stack. That ended up creating roughly 4718601 x 2^9437203 snake tokens and 9437202 x 2^9437203 Twincasters. This is the largest amount of things I’ve ever created with something that isn’t an infinite combo, and is a number that is unfathomably large. Keep in mind this is with the minimum amount of trying to make them and it happened by accident. With the same deck I could easily create a number so unbelievably large on top of that that it scares me how many snakes could have been created. That’d be enough snakes to probably fill at least a galaxy.

The most damage I've done in a single attack by a single creature was 2^472256. Heroes' Bane, buffed by Selvala Heart of the Wilds, Quirion Ranger, and Wirewood Symbiote. Take a moment to think how exponents work. Note that other commenters here have discussed the massive difference between 2^32 and 2^64....

For max damage: 1 x Daemogoth Titan 4 x Devilish Valet 4 x Tend the Pests 1 x Mystic Reflection 1 x Kaya, Geist Hunter +/- Some spell copying shenanigans. The sequence would be a Kaya, a Titan and 4 Valets on the battlefield, Mystic Reflection target one Valet, -2 Kaya, Tend the Pests targeting Titan, then cast (and copy) Tend the pests on largest Valets respectfully until you end up with an absurd amount of X/3 with trample where X is somewhere in the range of more than the number of atoms in the universe, maybe even that to the power of 4 or more. !!! P.S. I know it's a long shot to set this up perfectly but just commenting for max possible damage.
