I have a 57 as well. I ordered a mustang 2 front kit and a 4 link rear and a Ford 9 . What is a reasonable price to have it all done by you have it already off chassis. Have 2010 6.2 from Camaro don't have to be accurate but ball park figure possibly . Thanks

Hey sir .I need to go up north to pick up from a buddy house ,do you think all those boxes can fit in a Ford Fusion lol thanks
@intheshoptv Жыл бұрын
Yeah I think if its just you and you fold the seats down and really organize it well. You always have the option of unpacking some of it too, which would definitely make a big difference. Good luck

I may have missed it, but is there a reason why you went with the narrow arms?
@intheshoptv Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the question and for watching. One reason is if one wants to run a wider tire without worrying about clearance issues, another reason for some is if you like a little bit of a “tucked” look.

I know nothing about spring rates but I wonder if it could be calculated based on factory spring weights, the original weight of your truck less your projected weight savings?
@intheshoptv4 ай бұрын
It should be based on your total loaded weight (a close approximation will suffice). Reason being, retailers like to throw out general numbers - the second you speak the word “truck”, they’re pushing a 700lb spring (which is WAYYYY) too stiff for these little lightweight trucks)

Silly question but bear with me. Will your rack, you said power rack, require a pump mounted on the engine? If you're going to use a pump could would one of those old Chevy power steering pumps that mount on the back of a Delco-Remy generator be used?
@intheshoptv4 ай бұрын
Its really just a matter of providing the racks required amount of pressure. That said, I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t use whatever pump you want, so long as it flows within those parameters 👍

Awesome video.. is there any chance you could do me a favor possibly? I need the measurements of the frame rails. Basically I need how tall, and how wide the rail is, as well as the measurements from inside to inside, and outside to outside of the rails. I bought this same kit, but I'm putting it in an international scout. I want to copy the frame of a 55-59 chevy truck at the centerline of the "front axle" so the kit goes in how it should. If you can, thank you, if not no worries. I tried to Google it, but no luck.

Even better… I have the original frame blueprint with measurements that I can forward to you. My email is in the description of the video, just shoot me an email so I have a return address and I’ll send it over!😊

Hey I ordered this kit… Did not come with the CROSSMEMBER…..
@intheshoptv Жыл бұрын
Hey. Yeah, it says on their site that you’ll need to order the crossmember for your specific vehicle. They say their kit works with heidts or Speedway crossmembers. Also, FYI - if you decide to box the frame, obviously you’d have to buy those plates separately or make your own.

The a arms are made in china I sent my back and bought some from tci.my life is worth more than a cheap weld.
@intheshoptv2 жыл бұрын
Can you weld? You could always put a second bead over the top if concerned. Im not concerned about the welds not holding - the beads are flat and there is no undercut so I know they got good penetration and will hold just fine… they just didn’t take the time to make the welds look nice. Its more a matter of cosmetics on these control arms.
