What an incredibly beautiful articulate lady …. Transferable life experience is so much more than learning from a book. The lack of awareness by people on how they impact others especially as a child is frightening.. The most educational episode yet …. So many people need to take a look in the mirror and realise we are all human beings……. “You are better than no one and no one is better than me” ………… Bob Dylan

every newly recruited Garda teacher principal social worker and judge was made to these two women it might give them an awareness of how difficult it can be for families. I grew up with members of the travelling community and sadly feel that they are still been ostracised from society , racism is a huge issue today in this country. Great show ✌🏻

Great dialogue again lads. Annemarie hit the nail on the head the whole process of the Educator (Not All) in not understanding the situation of the child. Thats why we need Youth Workers employed full time in main stream education / schools doing that work with kids (My Undergrad Dissertation) The recognition and needs of all young people being recognised is key to them finding there place in the messed up system, change the system not the child. Respect & Dignity as AM said. Freire comes to mind again "There’s no such thing as neutral education. Education either functions as an instrument to bring about conformity or freedom" Most young people I connect with just want to know someone cares about them not your academic knowledge or wisdom, just a chat and some understanding and genuine congruence. Meditation and Mindfullness teaches us to be empty, the great Master Jeshua said only one whom has the innocence of a child would enter the heavenly place. Those who would enter must make themselves humble by recognizing that, like little children, they are powerless but also it is that powerlessness and humility which sets them free not Diplomas, Masters fancy Jobs or titles e.t.c Education is great when functioning from the right place but only a cog in the big wheel of life. I quite like Joe Ruhl | paradigm of Education on his TEDxLafayette Talk Teaching Methods for Inspiring the Students of the Future

Well done lads and ladies too really making a difference, ye should be all very proud, ye would make such a difference to so many kids in schools, I hope teachers schools and government members listen to this . My son and daughter have autism and the difference in them when the teachers are understanding and open minded this helps them open their minds to their possiblities and the extra abilities they possess but is often not seen.

1:08:16 "Young black men on the streets of America. And the stress of knowing that your son could be killed or just shot by a police officer at any time over there for just walking the street". I like The Two Norries Podcast very much, but come on now Timmy, you're way off the mark with that one, it is nowhere close to reality.
