My dad was the PA announcer in this clip calling the race and announcing the "winner". His name was "Red" Healan, well known radio personality in Athens GA and Gainesville GA. This scene was filmed in Athens GA. Dad passed away 3 weeks ago at the tender age of 96.

Mr. Wendell Scott, WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST DRIVERS IN CUP RACING. WITH THE RIGHT BACKING HE MAY OF GOT HIS NAME IN A HISTORY BOOK. BUT IM WRONG HE WAS BLACK AND CUP SERIES WOULD HAVE MADE SURE HE WOULD NOT MAKE THE TOP.SO THAT IS HISTORY AND NOW WE ALL NEED TO MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN!
