We did not have a place to be or go, but we jumped on Amtrak's Coast Starlight and headed off on a three day train adventure. Our first time EVER overnight on a train. Awesome. Train is *COOL.* Those narrow stairs taught me you want bags no longer than 20 inches or so. The (clothing, medical) bags went in the upper bunk of the Roomette.

I have probably logged thousands of hours on trains over the years, and slept many of those hours, but never overnight. Just commuter trains for me.

Yes, twice - once to LA on the Coast Starlight, and then Back to Portland - in May 2021. I became a train Nut from that trip. You want a Roomette if you’re older, have serious health problems, and are (justifiably) socially phobic due to be disabled.

I love trains! I have been wanting to take a trip on Amtrak but I have seen reviews about how the cars haven't been updated in a long time...that has kept me from taking the leap. My other train adventures have included several trips on the Alaska Railroad (first class and coach) and lots of trains on a Europe trip back in 2000. Train through Switzerland was insanely pretty. Great video, as always. Keep it up.
