@Tsunauticus III Same here where I live it is all channel catfish and nothing else. If I want to try for flathead and blue I have to drive 40 minutes away just to see. And I would definitely have to agree with you that Flathead are my favorite out of the 3 for 2 reasons and they are 1. Flathead have can have darker colors and patterns which make them more beautiful than the other 2 and 2. Ive always heard that even though Flathead don't get the biggest they fight the hardest especially from the channel River Certified where he catches some nice flathead.

Oh yeah, love those big flatheads, I love flatheads period, no matter what size they are! Caught my PB out of the Great Miami River, back in 98-99? Somewhere around there, but it was about the same size as that, and then my Uncle turned around a few days later and beat that, I sent you pictures of it sometime back Joe, it was 60+, the Butler Co. Game warden , at the time, estimated it at that because my 50 lb. digital scale messed up when we tried to weigh it, so the game warden took measurements of fish ( length, girth and all that) and that’s what he estimated it at. And we turned that fish back alive in there, we turned all our big fish back alive in the Great Miami ( Middletown). Anyway, nice catch, really nice catch!
