You should have them properly catalogued....and organise appropriate liaison with the National Museums and Archival Agencies for due preservation of these historically significant materials for the future generations, research and social studies and exhibitions

One very interesting story I've heard about the origin of the name, there apparently was one extra large "Mwembe" tree among other regular sized "miembe" trees that stood where shell petrol station now stands. It was a major landmark and the point at which traders and merchants venturing inland would meet up with their porters and the starting point for their caravans. The interesting bit is that what made this landmark renown was not it's mammoth size but rather the fact that it had one VERY unique trait - it bore fruit all round the year with no regard to month or season! There were ripe mangoes dangling from its branches throughout the year and hence the name "Mwembe tiyari". Can't confirm on the authenticity of this tale but I thought it was quite interesting.

Friends, we need to realize that Mau Mau only fought for the liberation of Bantu(Kamba, Kikuyu) land. Everyone else around us hasn't fought for anything. The only real successful black state that is self-sufficient is central Kenya, that's it.
