Don't forget about the Balsa wood airplanes You had to becareful you didn't the break the wing assembling it. You had to wind the airplane propeller by hand. They should have named them Good for one flight only Two if you were lucky. Then you had to deliver newspapers to make money to buy another Then their was the Cox airplanes with a glow plug. Wonder if their still in Business or what their worth

I feel the same buddy , the batteries and range were a joke and I wish safe mode was around in the 80s. I spent weeks and weeks making a balsa plane with my £9 per week paper round money and watched it barrel roll into dust on the first flight lol. I'm glad I wasn't detered like I think most kids would be these days but I did start using foam from then on and it took me a 10th of the time but I'm still hooked today

I dig it! Here is an idea for safe range test. Set the boat in the water just a ways off shore and then walk with the transmitter away from if further inland.

Good idea. What I do is stand in a low spot, hold the transmitter at waist level, and point the antenna directly at the boat. This will give me the worst range. Now, if the boat goes out of range, I step up to a higher spot, raise the transmitter above my head, and point the antenna to the sky. Nine times out of ten, I’ll be back in range and quickly bring the boat closer.

Would have loved to have gotten one of these boats, the orange one. I just got my first boat May 9th, my birthday, from my daughter. It's a Walmart boat and not very fast at all but nice for getting my feet wet with the boating RCs. Got to say I love it and want a faster one but I also would need to get an air boat do to the condition of the pond during different times of the year. Enjoy your channel.

This is my first ever boat bought for €50 total from Banggood. Came with a 1500mah battery and tested the unit today. It’s a really fun device but it I’ve just ordered 2 more batteries now knowing i only get 10mins run time.

Underneath, identical to FT009, very solid boat for the price, also works on 3S! Only long term weekness is those mini Tamyia plugs that connect the ESC to the motor as well as the plugs from ESC to the battery. Over time they corrode and loose connection and become glitchy. Best solution is to direct solder wires onto motor and swap out the mini Tamyia plug for an xt-60 or any modern connector you like. Also if beginners are reading this make sure you always dry out your boat with a hair dryer/cloth after and keep stored with the cover off. 👍🏻

It's best to bypass that water sensor. They tend to fail and leave you stuck out on the water. The bow is a Pickle Fork.

The phrase you were looking for to describe this hull is "Pickle fork" kind of a universal word for twin sponson high performance boats, such as Skaters, Catamarans and hydroplanes. I own full size versions of all three, and a mono hull, monos feel like boats, catamarans feel like you're on rails, skaters feel like a controlled wheelie, and hydroplanes feel like a rocket powered crab ha ha!

Will this work with a 7.4v 1500mah 60c 2s lipo from Zee? I see them on Amazon or would a 1800mah 20c better? I need longer run time . Hey many , you know your way around RC boat. I bought this one after wathi g your video and i have problem with pairing. It worked for few minutes, than it stopped, i charged batteys, change remote batterys, and now i cant pair trasmitter with boat... I "hacked" it safty controll, i screwd water connectors together before first test run, and it worked. whan i plug in boat battery, rudder straingthen, it has power in servo, you cant move it, but i cant pair it anymore with remote... Do you know what can i do... I am giving up on this one...

Great boat got it and the only thing I did was take it to my RC shop in Huntington Beach Ca Robs RC to change the connectors to standard ones. As the batteries is non standard. But other than that love this boat for the price and all and performance it rocks!!!!

Lol yeah, good eye! So we did record three boat videos one day, then two more a couple days later. Abby did the wash (Thanks Abby) and I must really like this shirt because I grabbed it again to wear without even thinking! Boom! One week in the same shirt! We don't record more than one video per day very often, but do if we need to take a couple days off for other projects. Boat week helped us get some stuff around the house done! 👍😁😎⚓

@@TheRcSaylors not from any big channels, ha ha, I just got the blade 330s RTF it's awesome I only fly it in stability mode. It flies like a dream and handles a 15 mph, wind very well, the weather app said it was suppose to be a 10 mph, but where I was flying it, my wind gage recorded 15 mph wind, that's a nice fast boat in the video, can't wait for the next one.
