Once Mike T is gone, these other Steelers fans that hate this man will also realize that we can no longer recruit good talent in free agency. If you go look at their interviews, everyone that decides to come to the Steelers over other teams always say they came to play for Coach Tomlin, not the Steelers. Most of them probably wouldn't sign with us if Coach T was not the coach.

I don't hate Coach Tomlin, and I appreciate the SB he won. But the Steelers keep trying the same things again every year. It's not working. The goal is to win Lombardi trophies, not to have non-losing seasons. Players love Tomlin, and he does have a pull with free agents, but it has resulted in zero super bowls.

@@MarkPruitt Okay. In that case I will give you a chance, right now. Name the coach that is available right now that you would replace him with and expect to win the Superbowl over the next 3 years. Belichek? Both are Defensive Head Coaches, and the Steelers have outperformed Patriots defenses over the past 10 years (Steelers ranked 6/Patriots ranked 10th). Vrabel? Some college coach?

@@COA5T I have no idea. Picking head coaches is not something you or me are good at, otherwise we'd be working in the NFL. What I do know is that Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game since 2016. There is no reason to think he will figure out the problem this season. If he doesn't win a playoff game this season, Rooney should trade him for a draft fortune and try with another coach, an offensive coach this time.

@@MarkPruitt I respect you and I respect your opinion, but this is the problem I have with this argument. Every time I ask a fan that wants Tomlin fired they don't have any solid solution to the problem. They are more than willing to take a shot in the dark just to see if it will work and start a coaching carousel but don't have any actual solutions in mind. I guess because I am a solutions-focused person is why I do not mesh with this mentality. For the people I am responsible for managing in business, I always tell them that if you come to me with a problem, then you also should come with solutions or suggestions on how to fix it as well. Art Rooney II likely looked at the possible solutions to this problem and found no better alternatives, because not a single fan can give me a name that would be an upgrade. Is that possible?

Congratulations to Big Mike. I am sure his decision to stay is partly due to the players he drafted this past draft and over the last few years. His commitment and his living up to his Thomlinism, “I want volunteers, not hostages. “ I love that they extended Mike T. If for nothing else; it really Piss'd off Mark (Angry Man) Madden. Mike T has done more with less. He would get a job tomorrow anywhere and we are fortunate to have him. He has learned a lot and you don't throw away experience as there is no substitute for it. You have 32 other teams trying to win Superbowl's as well, spending money, building cultures yet we have consistency and wins. This year with hopefully better Quarterback play we can win
