Thank you for no headbanger rock anthem intros and "hiya, youtubers" bullshit and just providing 8 minutes of everything needed to know about paracord!

Ahh lovely paracord. I never realised it was so stretchy. Gonna keep carying it. Especially since I see how its good for tarps with a truckers hitch as there is some give I.e no need for spring attachments. Nice one! Thanks Bros.

Great demo and intel about paracord. Someone told me that mil spec was 7 strands... Could've been wrong though. Thanks for sharing!

Would like to see a similar vid on bank line as you mentioned at the end of your video. Would also like to see something on the difference sizes 18 vs 36 etc. Thanks again, I always look forward to your new posts.

Take a look at binders twine. 1/10 the price and will do 90% of what you need.

Low stretch cordage is better for tarps IMHO something like lashit or dyneema.

do you have any trouble keeping them tied? i replaced my laces in a pair of shoes as well and they don't ever wanna stay tied and i'm too stubborn to take them out. - stony

BlackOwlOutdoors I also replaced some old, worn out boot laces with paracord. I found out pretty quickly that the way I'd been tying them wasn't going to work now, so I've simply taken to double-knotting when I lace up my boots. I feel like I'm in first grade all over again, but it works. Thanks Krik & Stony for your outstanding videos. I was up your way recently when my family headed out to Hershey Park for the day. (I'm thinking you're not too far from there from what I've gathered from your website and other videos).

It's called 550 Paracord because it can hold 550lb. It contains 7 strands of inner core. The inner core consists of 6 nylon cords, and they have 3 twined strands making them. There is also the 7th cord which is a cord consisting of 2 black nylon and 1 strand of fishing cord. No need to watch this video. Oh and also, fake paracord mate. If it frays when you cut it open it means it's low quality and is fake. And if the paracord was "meant" to stretch it would snap and not be able to carry 550 Paracord.
@asdf710810 жыл бұрын
Im sorry to tell you but the paracord you have in your hands is fake
@BlackOwlOutdoors10 жыл бұрын
what makes it fake? - stony
@boredinmission42010 жыл бұрын
BlackOwlOutdoors it doesn't have the tracer inner cord the tracer inner cord let's them know who made it but that is for mil spec not commercial paracord. That is the only reason I can see that he would call it fake
