Now you just need to mix up some ground steel/iron in some brown paint and dab it on the cars body in random spots, let it dry, lightly sand, then wet it with salt water and make it rust. "Cozy coupe rat rod"

Yeah like an open grill shell kind of thing and a pair of the chrome bicycle lights like what people put on lowrider bikes and beach cruisers.... the ones that look like old motorcycle or hot rod style lights... even if they painted them red to match the cozy coupe... they run on 12V.DC that would be awesome

I love the build,it reminds me of a combination of a scaled down version of a T Bucket,and something Ed Roth would draw!..I would just put some paint on it and call it done!..With that short wheel base I wouldn't change the gearing to make it any faster on top end,the results could easily end up like the racing mower..The beast looks like it would be a blast to drive!

Awesome build I used to work for Little tikesthe bodies on those are rotomolded so the color goes all the way through if it's ever stained couch scratched or faded all you have to do is hit it with a blowtorch and it'll smooth all out and bring all the color back and get rid of the gouges.

The one structural element you should add is a roll over loop, run it up behind the seating position. Probably don't need to cut into the cozy coupe body, and it might allow for a headrest

The only thing i would like is to see those front wheels just a smidge more off the ground for a tiny bit more clearance. Absolutely awesome looking machine though top shelf engineering skills boy's. It is called dethatching. Make some hollow spiked rear wheels and get some airating done also. Working lights and a horn and get it plated. 1917 be a good year to get a vin. plate from.

back in 89 or 90 i put sidepipes on my 78 cutlass supreme (highschool). a girl i knew wanted a ride. as she got in she touched her leg (wearing shorts) to my sidepipe, which resulted in a MAJOR 5-6" elliptical burn on the side of her calf. lesson to be learned: you're either gonna want guards/shielding on those pipes, or you're going to want to be cognizant of them every second of every ride. I definitely see some shoes being melted :P

I use galvanized electrical conduit for exhausts all the time. Being an electrician I can get tons of it for free. Soaking it in vinegar for a week removes the zinc coating.

Awesome little build! You need a shifter linkage......that will shorten the throw and take some of the leverage off of the shifter-shaft load....and you will stop stressing the shifter shaft. Otherwise I'd love to have a crack at this thing! Keep it up!

I think you should put some kind of stopper behind the shifter. This would help prevent additional damage especially if someone is yanking on it. I also suggest some kind of dampener around the base of the shifter so it doesn't bounce so much. The more it shakes the more likely it will damage the threads of the bolts connecting to the transmission By stopper, it's like having a stopper behind a door so the knob or the door itself doesn't damage the wall or break the door basically.

Put a rollbar/cage on it (maybe a removable one?), get yourself some good safety gear, and find some good pavement to top it out. This thing looks AWESOME!!! It's inspired me to pull the trigger on an idea I had a few years ago; buy a used legends racecar, put a Hayabusa or Kawasaki H2 engine on it (with an exposed engine like a T-bucket), add turn signals and DOT tires, and make a street legal single seat hotrod.
