best regards bypassing the thermostat will cause to overheat the heating element. which will cause to its early damage so the best option to repair / adjust the existing switch or you can purchase a new one

when its concealed heater's internal insulation is damaged, it gives current in body, that time it is to be destroyed. i couldn't got your point " *when power flows back wards,or the reverse current* " what this sentence means. if possible please explain in some details so that i can reply correctly

I took a small reed switch taken from a battery operated light. So it was a normally closed switch...I connected it to multimeter to check it's connectivity and used a LEd to check the connectivity. And as soon as I disconnected the reed switch it turned into normal open. How can this be possible ? Not it has totally changed. Does a reed switch changes on its own ?

reed switches are two types Noramlly Open contact OR Normally Closed Contacts and these both work opposite to each other as these switch are closed in glass encloure, some companies use very low quality glass material, which damages with very low heat or viberation and the seitch contacts change their position and most of time these change the function of the whole circuit i faced many issues while working on high speed coaxial swotching matrixes. most common problems in reed switches are (open, close, increased resistance, broken glass, no response on magnetic field etc)

its thermostat is used to control the temperature. if we try to modify the thermostat setting, it may cause overheat the concealed heater. that may damge permanently
