[spoilers] coming back to this video after the finale is something else. i mean you've just laid it all out here so perfectly. dean loves cas. he loves cas so much that they literally had to tear cas out of the story to hide it. 15x20 is the tattered burnt wingprints of the greatest love story ever told because the story literally falls apart without him. 15x20 dean is a hollowed-out shell of the character he was just two episodes before. they had to kill him, tear out his tongue, silence him. he could never have the happiness of just being, just saying it. not on earth or on the pages of supernatural. but the dean winchester we know lives in videos like yours and you've always been so masterful at drawing him out and letting him be. thank you so much for all of your work

I think Dean's walls started to come down in season 5 when Cas beat the ever living shit out of him when he was thinking of throwing in the towel and saying, "Yes," to Michael. Cas' feelings for Dean were spoken very lowly in that brutal exchange, they became real, and there was no way for Dean to ignore just how much he meant to Cas, and how much faith Cas had in him. Sam: "What the hell happened to Dean?!" Cas: "Me." 😂

Actually, it never felt one sided to me. If so, I would rather say it's Dean. He is like a child, putting all the trust he never had in one man.... well angel, like a small wild animal looking for shelter. He is hopelessly lost without Cas. He had this look on his face (just rewatch the barn scene) and this strange trust from the beginning, and it was mutual; Cas trusted Dean more than he had a reason to (well, aside from having touched his soul, but look at the bench scene) and while talking isn't exactly Dean's strong side, he asked Cas to talk and Cas did. When Supernatural started, I thought it was just another teenie show with good-looking protagonists, so I wasn't interested. It was the story of Dean and Cas that brought me to watch the show; one look at them and I was addicted to this love. Fine vid, who needs their heart.

Protective Dean is the best! Everyone already knows that Cas is devoted and loves Dean. This video shows just how much Dean feels without having to actually SAY it. I LOVE your videos because you pick up on the tiniest of nuances in their relationship, and you connect them all so beautifully. This is what the casual viewers of the show miss. Dean is a man of action, not words. He shows his love by deed. It's taken him a long time but he's finally seeing (here in the last couple seasons) that Cas will NOT hurt him ("I will not hurt Dean" and "I will have to watch you murder the world") because he loves him. You know I've seen a lot of the evidence behind this ship, and I'm positive that the writers and directors deliberately meant for Castiel to have more than a friendship with Dean, but, I'm also positive that Dean will never have affection for Castiel to that level. It very much is a one sided love story, and when I see Destiel videos it just makes me sad. Though it's a very smart way to portray the relationship, because of Castiel's love for Dean, we get to see the evolution of his emotions, loyalties, and grow to be this fantastic very human like character.

This is Destiel. It blows my mind people can't see the genuine, desperate, need those two have for one another. Wether you think Destiel is real or not, you cannot deny the love these two have. What I love more is the fact the Dean is always so concerned for Cas. Always, even when he didn't need to be. No matter how angry Dean could get at him he always wanted Cas back, needed him back. That is the Destiel that I love.

I do think Destiel exists, but rather one sided. It's clear Cas has romantic feelings for Dean eventually, it's so obvious. I don't think Dean feels the same though, there is tension that's true, but I suspect that's only because Dean isn't stupid, at some point we did see a shift and it's evident in Deans behavior that he knows Cas has more than friendship on his mind, but, unlike other situations where he's had to deal with other guys being into him that way, he approaches it very gingerly, careful not to lead Cas on, always clear about where they both stand relationship-wise, all while still making sure Cas knows that Dean still views him as family and loves him regardless. Am I the only one that sees it this way?

yea, also remember when mary got trapped in the alternate universe and cass died? Dean was crushed and hopeless, and everyone thought it was because he had just lost his mother again. However, the second cass comes back, Dean is overjoyed despite his mother still being gone. This just proves that people who say that destiel isn't real are full of shit, because can you honestly tell me that a platonic relationship would mean more to a family-centered guy like dean than his own mother? I didn't think so. The truth is that without cass, dean was broken, and he really did lose everything when he lost cass, including a love for life. Dean and cass share that, the fact that their lives are made whole by each other. Dean is cass's humanity, and cass is dean's. No matter how full of anger and hatred dean gets, cass has always been the one to tie him back to his humanity. As cheesy as it sounds, they bring out the light in one another, and if that's not love i don't know what is.

no he didn’t!there is a diffrence between asking to leave or to let go of him!dean just didn’t try to stop him!it’s not like he wanted him to leave!he called him not for himself but to help sam!dean can realize when two people with strained relationship are ready to meet or talk and when is not!and he knows how to control the words coming out of his mouth thats why he never say things which can never taken back(unlike sam)cas on the other hand most of the times easily gives up just like this time and when dean was a demon!he had angel blade with him to if the cure didn’t work he should kill dean!that is the most selfish thing anyone can done!dean wasn’t possessed or...he was himself only the dark side!we all have our dark sides which can decide to hide or not!dean decide to hide it but by becoming a demon that dark side was free and so dean himself!free of everything and best,free of john winchester’s brainwashing!cas and sam couldn’t handle that side whille dean toleranced the awful,unbearenle and dark side if both of them a million times!but in their idea dean can only be the desn they know or no one else which was totally selfish

this is way too beautiful. im actually crying so hard over this masterpiece of a video. people may think im delusional for shipping these two, but my god i dont even care what they think. the connection between these two is undeniable. its so clear cas is in love with dean. and dean cares for him much more than he does anything else. literally i could rant all day about destiel, it has changed me. like how can people not see the love in their eyes in those moments of eye contact they have? this video is so perfect, im still shook by your editing skills. thank you for making this😭

I feel like any possible argument you could make trying to convince someone that Dean does love Cas could be entirely summed up in this 5 minute video, which is pretty freaking impressive considering these two have like a decade of history between them lol. Major kudos, this was beautiful :)
