I went back and listened to Dion's remastered original. This is next level Dion was screeching those high belts and not on key Lucy was on key and in full control at al times.

Anyone who sees and hears this video will immediately realise that Lucy Thomas has a stellar future ahead of her. To be able to outgun Celine Dion at the age of just 18 is quite an achievement and as good as this was, Lucy has and will continue to mature and develop to even dizzier heights. She is the best female singer in the world right now, bar none. I know that's a big claim but it is one that anyone who surveys the complete body of vocal works that this young lady has put together in the last four or five years will also come to realise. Five of the best albums of music covering many different genres that anyone could ever want to hear. Go check it our for yourself. Her younger sister by 6 years, Martha, has appeared with her in the last couple years doing duets with her. And it's interesting to hear some of the early stuff like you lift me up. And then later prayer, but they dropped not only a version of O Holy Night that is amazing, but they did a song that is now familiar to younger people that I think was only birthed around 1991, and it is a religious song, but it is so damn good. steve Martha is 5 years and 8 months youngr than Lucy.... And the 4th song they recorded together was You RAISE me up Martha was 11 and lucy was 16.. Martha has been recording with Lucy since she was 10 years old, Say Something, and The Arms of the Angel. at 11 You Raise me up and When you believe, OH holy Night The Prayer the Climb she was 12 FYI

Celine Dion doesn’t sound like that! 😉 Lucy exceeds everybody, and all the great legends. Not one - them all! Don’t been fooled by Lucy’s age, so also checked out her earlier songs. Lucy was the master singer from aged 13, and from 15 Celine, Whitney, Barbra, etc, were all in her rear view mirror.

As you continue to watch Lucy you'll see she has fantastic breath capacity and control. She can carry a strong note right past where most stop for breath, continue with a run, then take a breath. Check out her rendition of "Evergreen". Beautiful voice, her vibrato is a killer (best in world to me), her pitch is perfect (no sailing high or going sour), and the last note in the video goes for 6 bars (perfect pitch then a little vibrato on the end) all in one breath. The first time I saw Lucy was "Memory" (Cats) and at that point i came up with my own description of her voice: "Reach, but no screech". In that piece she has a wide-open full-on belt section but she still has good diction, vibrato, and she is not screeching as some do. In this piece she gets up close to her max but still has her pitch accuracy and no screeching. All the superlatives you can think of have been already used describing Lucy. Plus, on many many of her videos you hear WOW! repeated over and over, including you. I've been in music since 1950 and Lucy is among the top 4 or 5 of all time in my book.

Hi There what can you say about Lucy other than WOW. certainly knocked this out of the park. Best female vocalist out there today .She has over 70 songs on her channel "Lucy Thomas Music " Both Originals and covers.
