Don't forget during Scott's insane high belts at the end that he was covering the BASS LINE when Matt soloed. 🤯

This is a new masterpiece from Scott, Matt, Kirstie, Mitch and Kevin. They all polished this song to a new level. They flow effortlessly between singing a lead line and singing backup. Kevin is of course Kevin. They have their eyes mostly closed in reverent focus. They trust each other to sit like that and sing this live a cappella. I love this new versionu

I love the fact that Kevin switched from tapping on his chest, stomping, and beatboxing, to giving us the same impact with just beatboxing. Shows that even perfection can be improved!

This is such a great rendition - and Scott - sheesh!!!! I know he changes up the end riffs every time but this version is CRAZY! And it lasts longer than usual, so it must be somewhat practiced for the rest to know how many repeats to do for him. I love listening to them sing anything - hope we get some new Christmas.

In the official video, there are 3 choruses of Hallelujah after Mitch finishes his verse - the first all together that crescendos at the end, leading to a chorus featuring Scott, and then another chorus featuring Kirstie and Mitch. This time Scott went off and sort of took over the lead for all of the choruses, but then they added another chorus at the end, and Mitch and Kirstie split up and did different versions of Hallelujah instead of singing in harmony together - a small version of their "split melody" tactic.

I am so friggen excited that I FINALLY get to see them this November. It's been a bucket list concert for me forever, and took 10 years for them to come close enough to where I was living at the time to see them!

I’m going to say they recorded two - and then said, yeah, we nailed it the first time! I will always love them singing this song. Peace …

I also notice that they mostly sang with their eyes closed - they know the tempo and cadence so well, and they are always perfect.

I noticed too. They trust and know what the others are doing and they flawlessly perform their own parts ❤

Beautiful as always. Love both versions. There was another different ending they did on, I’m pretty sure it was CBS Home for the Holidays last year, LOVED that one too. Unfortunately I can’t find any footage of that performance.

There are also SO MANY live concert videos, some better quality than others - and they are really fun because it's always a little different.

thanks for the reaction. I love both versions. I would love similar versions for other songs. Please react to Scott's latest single, Rose Without Thorns. Two versions. Both are very good.

I love PTX, but the ending of this is just too chaotic for my taste. Interestingly I listened to IMAGINE recently and in their wall of sound they did something similar, but it was much more controlled and harmonized. This just sounds like a mess to me. Sorry PTX.

I didn't really care for this jazzed up version...I like the calmer, more solemn one better. But I do like the videos where one can see what everyone is doing during a song, but I wouldn't want that at the expense of their music videos because they do such a good job visually in them.

Like others have said.... I prefer the older, calmer, more reverent version ( I understand the original isn't necessarily a religious song per se).... I didn't think I would ever say this about PTX but far too many riffs and runs for my taste 🥺

This whole performance was nothing but vocal gymnastics and a whole lot of noise, as so many voices going different direction, difficult to even hear the words......NO THANKS.....different is not better, just different !!!

I respect your opinion. But the first part of the song through shortly after Mitch's solo (1st Hallelujah chorus before Scott improvises) was not showy gymnastics. It's how they've performed that section beautifully for at least the last 2 years (think Hollywood Bowl for example). However, I can hear how you may feel about the ending.
