This video gets me every time, even though I've seen it 50 times. The thought of this really special human, not perfect but so talented, dying so young haunts me. He gave people all over the world caring, fun and meaningful music, which will never be forgotten. Thank you to PTX for giving us this great medley of some of his best songs to hear whenever we want or need to.

The day after MJ died, our church choir invited Siedah Garrett (who wrote Man in the Mirror) to come sing. She rehearsed with the choir on Friday and Sunday morning before service. Before she sang "Man in the Mirror," she said her phone that was silent on Wednesday began to ring constantly on Thursday. The media wanted her to spill the dirt. She said that being enveloped by the love for her song was exactly where she needed to be. She didn't know the MJ of the media, she only knew him professionally and as an artist. And then she sang the heck out of her song, "Man in the Mirror." Over 100 choir members were able to come on short notice. I'm forever blessed to have been in attendance.

we spend our lives getting worried about tomorrow and what we failed to do yesterday. if you are sad, sit for 30 seconds and look at the wall in front of you. look at the grooves in the wallpaper, look at the door of the room or the seat in front, how its shaped, how it got there, look at the screen you are reading this from. we all stress but forget to appreciate things in front of us and the actual situation we are living. for just 20-30 seconds switch off from lifes thoughts. its all you need to do, try to not fret too much on thoughts of whats needed to be done or what you didnt do. The more you learn to be alive in the moment the clearer you can think and feel. Our thoughts appear and its gone, so we live in a hurry and in panic almost. Please just feel a moment of now, then get on with your day and be mindful that theres so much life we ignore in the moment because we live for yesterday or tomorrow.love from ireland!!!

Delighted to know you grew up with influence of the Jacksons! I followed them from the time I was a kid and they had a Saturday morning cartoon, right on through the disco era, Thriller, and on and on. Their catalog is vast, and Michael in particular carried that torch farther than I think anyone back in the early 90's could have ever imagined. For all his great body of work, few things hit me harder than "Earth Song", which is both a balm for the soul and a wake-up call! Love ya Britt, keep that hope and appreciation for good music alive!

What a beautiful reaction! I love all the PTX evolutions, but MJ is my favorite. I’m 57, and these songs are woven into my life like golden threads. The Saturday morning cartoon, the tv appearances, The Wiz, AM and FM radio, the records on my little orange turntable, the videos, the choreography we all learned, the excitement on the dance floor, my friends all emulating his fashion and style, my roommate at art school singing his songs off key with her Walkman headphones on, even the Pepsi commercial - all of it!

I saw you fantasy dad perform with Jackson 5 in the early 70s, and again when they did the reunion tour in the 80s. Michael on his own twice in the 80s. Madison Square Garden was a surprise concert that I didn't know was our final destination that evening. He was such a great showman. Loved him, but one of my favorite videos is Scream - Michael and Janet as a pissed off duo. It was a brilliant, early version of a diss track.

You are not alone (no pun intended) in your love for Michael. That man’s voice has done more in getting me through hard times in my teenage years than I can express and he still touches a trigger for me. Man in the Mirror is my song and will be until I’m done. If I have any complaints, I wish there were more songs after Dangerous. Earth Song, They Don’t Really Care About Us, You Are Not Alone and Childhood are amazing songs and I think Cry from Invincible might be his last great song. Bottom line - don’t ever be ashamed. He never was, the least we can do is wear it on our sleeves with joy and with courage.

We are all just people. We aren't perfect even superstars. I grew up loving Michael Jackson's music too. No matter what anyone believes or does not believe about him he had more talent in his short life than most people have in long lifetimes. The beauty and power of the music is real and has brought happiness to many. There isn't an artist or person out there who has lived a perfect life, so as far as I'm concerned there is no point in throwing stones.

BRITT, have you done BILLY OCEAN? If not you need to do BILLY OCEAN and soon. Billy is a Black Trinidadian, raised in the United Kingdom, many huge hits in the 1980s like Caribbean Queen, Get Out of My Dreams, When The Going Gets Tough, Suddenly etc etc. Billy was never really respected as an R&B singer in USA, because he's not Afro-American and came from the UK, he was more seen as a Pop Singer. Walked away from Music at the Height of his career to raise his family, but recently began singing publicly again. He's to this day one of my favorite singers from the 1980s. You'll wonder why after you hear SUDDENLY why this guy was all but forgotten in USA.

Remember what Gorson Lightfoot said " Heroes often fail"but the Good News tells us that Heroes are only human and need love and forgiveness too. For one reason or another, we all fail, and regardless of the pat or circumstances that led to that failure, there's still time to change the road you are on (Led Zepplin) .
