Welcome back to the road, Dan. Loved this one. My dad was an itinerant preacher and I grew up in the 1950s traveling US 54 from Wichita to Las Cruces and on to Tucson, Phoenix, and LA. He pulled a travel trailer back in the day, with Mercury’s and Oldsmobile cars. Trailers were anywhere from 32’ to 35’. US 54 was a wonderful, lonely road from Liberal, KS, Guymon, OK, Dalhart, Tx, Logan, NM, and so on. Nothing but a few mesas in the distance and cattle on the range. We spent 18 hrs. holed up at a gas station in Logan, NM during a blizzard. Thanks for the video. Brought back great memories! Love your channel, friend. Roll on with Lord with you in that beautiful 379!

Dan, my good buddy would buy, and install, a rebuilt air dryer, every September. A few hundred dollars more than the replaceable cartridge. So he would have a grief free year, going from Winnipeg to Cali, or Winnipeg to Florida. Best wishes from the far North.

A trick an old timer taught me. Roofing tar. Use it like anti seize where threads will be exposed. Rain won't wash it off like anti seize. It works great and it's cheap. I enjoy your videos. U hang in there. You can buy it in a quart can. Lasts along time.

Hey everyone, I don't know about you guys but I love this truck and Dan makes great videos. Alright I know sometimes it is expensive to maintain the truck but as long as it is making money for you Dan that is all that matters. A pain in the ass load on this run Dan but it looks great on the Dorsey trailer. Safe trucking in 2022 and I really look forward to future videos. BTW I'm glad you got over Covid Dan. Best Wishes from me and family here in Ireland.

Don't know what style of air dryer you have. But I just switched my AD ID dryer($650-700) complete to the old style AD-9 dryer($160) complete. This was a retro kit on a freightliner everything bolted in place. Something too look into next time

Air dryer filters doing its job. But when its full of moisture. It has not other thing to do. But keep spitting it out the bottom. I always changed my filter every 12 months. Most times could get 5 to 7 years out of a dryer that way.

That's why I never liked a Conestoga Wagon, guy hits the side of the trailer with a forklift and now he has dented the track the tarp slides in and it won't close. I always like a covered wagon instead for coils, but a skateboard like yours you can haul more things your not limited.

Glad to see you back. As I said before, 40 - 44 - 70 is my favorite route, too. Like you, I hate the traffic in big cities. But you still have to deal with Amarillo, Okly, Tulsa, and St. Lou. And if you go thru Ohio, there is Columbus which can also be a problem. I do a lot of night driving to avoid traffic. I even leave my home in Los Angeles after 10 pm to avoid the mess getting up through the Vegas traffic. Even though I break away over a hundred miles before Vegas, the amount of cars on 15 is a nighmare.

Enjoy watching your travels Dan. To me you epitomise what it is to be a trucker, and I ve been doing it myself coming up 28 yrs. it’s the simple things like (don’t take this wrong way lol) for an old guy you know how to navigate your phone with apps to help you out.. chaining and slinging sheets/Tarps we can do with our eyes closed but tech still baffles me. Lol. Keep up the good work my best to you Teresa and family. 👍

I see you're back on the road, wanted to update you if you haven't been down this way in a while. Exit 26 I-10 Milton,FL(Just outside of Pensacola,FL) There's a new Loves truck stop that recently opened up and there's plenty of parking available. The fuel islands are rarely busy, since opening I've never had to wait in line. It's rather surprising to see a huge lot around here, It also has your type of parking spots that are easy in/easy out. Have a good one bossman!
