Dan Dan the professional flat deck man, Daniel. I have been watching your channel for a few years. For me, I really like how you run your channel, what you show on your channel and what you talk about on your channel. Plus the music you put in when you do. First off you are a pro, a dying breed out on the highways. You show what everyday life is like on the road. For anyone wanting to learn what’s involved and how to secure a load to the deck best be watching your video’s. So for me I wouldn’t change a thing. But then not everyone likes the same thing but usually your viewers like what you film. That’s why they watch your videos and not others. You and Bailey make a great team. I know a few of the drivers I watch have dogs with them. It really makes a big difference. I know when I was out there by myself loneliness did creep in before ya knew it. Another great video Daniel. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you, D… I hope the storm did not screw things up for you , unloading and loading. I would have fueled all 4 tanks also. Better to be safe than sorry..

I'm retired now for quite a while. Texas used to be my favorite destination. The roads were great and weigh stations were rarely open. That was then and I hope for you truckers that it's still a good destination.

One reason I found your channel was the driving in your videos. I was a local delivery driver for years before getting into law enforcement and gave up my Dream of long haul driving. I really love your content and look forward to your videos. Keep doping what you do and be safe. We’re praying for you!!

Hey Dan. Nice to hear from you. For some of us that are unable to travel across the United States of America enjoy your videos. Even if you just showed the 🛣️ that's okay. Truck videos are better than some 🤐 on 📺. Safe Travels sir 🇺🇲 🚛💨💨💨💨

The boring driving just set the camera up for different views over the hood, out the driver window, out the passenger window. It will catch old buildings, rusted cars, sunset, clouds, etc. your doing a great job on the videos keep it up. If you have a short run 20 miles or so you could film a twisted strap compared to the flat strap…. Maybe more flat bedders would learn how to do it correctly. Oh the train for the day reminded me of my cousin Vinny at the 4am rolling thru town blowing the train horns.

Enjoy them, Dan. Most of the people who watch have a life and greatly appreciate not wasting time if you dont have something special to show. Too many of these "influencers" must be trolling for clicks and willing to waste everyone's time with lousy content. I dare say most who are watching a trucking channel arent interested in a blow by blow of a persons life and family and if they are, they should get a life themself. I could name names of channels who are major time wasters but wont do that. You do it right.

Show us viewers when you fuel your truck. Taking on water, your pre-trip for newer drivers in the business. Shopping trips for supplies. Possibly a camera mounted on top of your load of machines recording your engine sounds up shifts, down shifts, Jacob break. I been watching for years. Covid was interesting you were worried about being over weight because of all your bottled water.

I saw a test performed on twisting these straps. After 2 or 3 twists, it holds less weight/tension before failing, but 1 twist was no problem at the rated limit. Keep buzz-free.

Hey Dan. I hope you made it out of the area when Helene hit. I saw live shots on TV and some areas were disasters. It was nasty where i live for a couple of days The storm track showed it heading over my town in NC. Not much damage here. I see Bailey is getting feisty. Stay safe and keep the content coming even if you think it might be boring.

No problem with boring content, Dan. Some of us Americans have to live far, far away from the US highways and I miss them badly some days. Drive on. Also, on that twisted strap issue ... you shared another KZbinr's video some years back who did actual destructive testing in cargo straps with and without twists, and twisted and flat were the same breaking strength, Be well.

back when i was driving, up to "08, they were saying, even with all the truck stops and rest areas, nation-wide, there still was enough room to park all the trucks, at once, so maybe that was the reason a lot of trucks drove all night, then pulled into truck stops or rest areas to sleep,

Nice video Dan! When I ran flatbed I twisted my straps as well. Besides the flapping the straps will loosen up over time as well if you don't twist. Honestly it should be required to twist and illegal not to.

A good-ol-boy trucker taught me that trick some 40 years back. He hauled my trailered pleasure boat from NY to Austin. He pointed out the strap damage that had taken place before he twisted them. I had always tried to make them neat & clean, not twisted. No more!
