@@MusicoftheDamned Yup, Honda's sweep is unique in all the games he's in (I think?) In that it actually has a seperate hitbox that comes out later, but only behind him.

its still real nice how the updated E. Honda in SF5 and is up to par in SF6 now. i recall in SF4 he felt like he was still the EXACT same character as previous games: stiff, awkward, the same 3 sumo specials with no real variation. it just felt like everybody but him was getting some kind of small change.

Nice video as always Desk even if Honda is another character who long feels left by the way side despite much as Capcom clearly cares about him and representing Sumo. Thanks. That said, I had a little chuckle at realizing why that launching shoulder move looked so familiar to me just now: it reminds me of SNK's Hinako (Shijo), the weird but oddly endearing stick-thin Sumo-using schoolgirl. That makes sense though given they're both Sumo practitioners, even if now it has me wondering even more what some of the physically weirder non-Blanka _SF_ characters would look in this artstyle, like Necro or Twelve or even just Q.

Hey Desk, just letting you know, it’s possible to do the 2LP, 2LP, 2LP, Honda slap link on all characters if you time it properly. You can actually loop it three times with good spacing. It’s a one frame link, if you want help with the timing, there’s an Arcade Fire song called Haiti which has the exact same rhythm on the drums I find that helps me time it right consistently

they probably do, a lot of it is not very practical and meant to be stylish for a video, but some of the combos and tech are genuinely amazing, like on the zangief combos where you get a beefy combo with instant air spd after wall splat
