Thankyou Jan, I was pleased with how thy turned out. was fun to try so many of my favourite glaze combos from the last 2 years too. It was quite fun to carve in all the names, apart from the stress of making sure I spelt all the names right! lol

Hi Jeanette, what an amazing kiln load and to think they are mostly gifts, wow what an awesome commission😊 your stacker plates a fantastic love that system! The combo you chose really works well. All of the mugs and tumblers are beautiful, not only the various glaze combos but the shapes and finishing of them all too, you have really refined everything and made them look perfect❤ you must have spent so many hours making and finishing all of those pieces. Well done on a wonderful unload and well done Blaze!! ❤❤❤

@@ceramicsbyjulia8552 Thank-you Julia. It was a long process and just relieved when they were finally all finished. Not sure if I'm into the commissions route as very stressful! Lol. Got so many ideas and been inspired by so many potters got a long list of things I'm wanted to try, so next year is some time for my discovery and development, and who know what will be the result, but so long as I'm having fun lol ;) it's all about the enjoyment.

Awhhhh thankyou!! Your artwork on mugs is outstanding! That would be awesome! Gloriousness - I cant say that without thinking of Nat, I think I'd just watched one of her videos before I recorded this and it was in my mind. Go Nat! Smoke with clear over was a surprise and Ive repeated it constantly. Adore it!!!

Hello Jeanette, it’s me Suza from Magdeburg Germany. Your glazes are adorable. I love your enthusiasm and the joy you spread. I didn’t read the other comments because I write while sitting in the car. Did someone suggest a drinking game whenever you use the word NICE? That would be fun. But I’m not drinking at all but I know people who do. Have a great day. Much love Suza 🥰
@FarForestCeramics2 күн бұрын
Yeah Hello Suza! Was a pretty stressful commission as I wanted to get it so right, so not sure I'll be doing commissions in future, maybe just making what brings me joy and if anyone wants to have for themselves, I'd be thrilled. Glaze combos just bring so much joy and excitement on a kiln opening don't they! Going to start working with some new clays in 2025 so anxious how the glazes will play with the different clay! LOL a drinking game every time I say the word 'nice' that could be super dangerous, especially for me when I barely drink 😂 I'm hoping with better health and more energised my vocabulary will improve again - only time will tell LOL. Take care Suza, love from the UK , Jeanette🥰

What were the glazes on the last 2 mugs! They are all great
@FarForestCeramics20 күн бұрын
Thanks so much, so relieved they all turned out! Last two mugs for John were Mayco Birch x 3 coats all over. Then Mayco Cordovan on the rim x 3 coats. Mayco colbalt wash x 1 coat on the rim which is then covered with 1 coat stoneware clear. Fired cone 6.5

Ooh wow! So glad to see you’re using your new kiln!! That set looks soo beautiful stacked together!! I can’t believe the Norse blue and cordovan! Have you tried the lavender mist with the birch and cordovan?!? I just made an entire kitchen set with the combo. It’s one of my favorites!!

Hair was cut as it was getting on my nerves, but missing the longer hair now LOL. Norse Blue and Cordovan was initially a mistake that I now repeat many times, love it. No, not tried Lavender mist with birch and cordovan. Would love to see some of those. What layering and order do you do? That sounds up my street!
@FarForestCeramics21 күн бұрын
@@micheledickey4066 That was the request from the gentleman who ordered them, and was puzzelled initially how to do the tumblers, but used a rib (upside down) which created a perfect spot for the personalisation. The mug style was the ones I did for our sons wedding earlier this year which I also personalised, so that is what gave the customer the inspiration. I like how effective it is without being too much in your face.

Jeanette, beautiful pieces! Cone 5 or 6? and do u use a schedule or just the skutt programs?
@FarForestCeramics16 күн бұрын
@@Elizabeth-mo3fv Hi, this was the standard Skutt cone 6 program, medium speed. I find it gives me a 6.5 at the bottom.

Would you please share the cone temp you used with Blaze
@FarForestCeramics18 күн бұрын
@LynnTalbert Hi, Good point I never mentioned that did I! So sorry. I fire to a cone 6, but I tend to get closer to a cone 6.5 lower in the kiln.
