I think both sides are beautiful. Sometimes you get a piece where the back side wants to be the star of the show. That's OK too. 😊 Like they say " resin does what resin wants" and sometimes really just surprises you with its own beauty! Great job!

I love 💕 the way you put that! And it's so true from what I've watched 🌟💖 I watch Pouring Your Heart Out, she's fun to watch, started watching her a few years ago anyway,ya quite a few times I was thinking I like the back better,or don't cover at all, and use both sides, sometimes things don't need a top coat, backing, whatever they call it, okay 😂 have a great night 🌟💖

I love it Petra, it is definitely not a failure. It's like a glacier that is melting and breaking up. Not sure that the blue chameleon flakes add much value, perhaps some white sparkle or pearl mixed with the white? It is also beautiful on the pouring side.

I don't think it's a failure. But I could be wrong but I think the blobs are that the surrounding ring of white was stronger than the many petals which were thinner and it looks like it pushed the bloom down making the blobs. Claire fixed a piece by putting stickers over and I think if you got some snowflake stickers and put it over the bloom it would look like it is snowing? Anyhow just an idea

I’m curious what u think happened, when u said u suspect it was that u warmed up ur resin some but should of let it sit longer, did u mean it had too much time to move due to it being a low viscosity resin? If u had let the resin sit & begin to heat up more in the cup, that potentially it would have bloomed correctly? I get very intimidated & confused by all the different styles/techniques of the blooms, it seems to be very particular to what viscosity of resin ur working with, the type of pigment ur working with, the temperature of the resin when u pour the petals & how fast or slow the resin takes to cure! Fast cure is the goto for some artist & others use a 1:1 but the viscosity is specific & I can’t lock down what type of bloom would work with traditional 1:1 resin say for example; Let’s Resin countertop/casting resins? Apparently there is not a difference between them?! See what I mean by it’s confusing? Does a geode style quantify as a bloom? How about crackle/web effect? Is it only considered a bloom if u add petals, as u did today? Meaning If u only wanted the web effect/crackle effect, is it considered a bloom still? That sounds like the dumbest question🥴 it’s how my brain works so I can sift out the questions that keep me up at night!😂 Please don’t feel as if u need to answer every individual question I presented! I don’t mean to make u nuts asking all that, I don’t know how else to explain where I get stuck without presenting it as a question. Thank you kindly for sharing the outcome even when it’s not what u were expecting! I agree that it is still lovely n beautiful. What depth the way some of the outer petals sort of rolled under themselves!? Not sure if that’s the correct way to describe it but it’s a great way to see what results u get when u try different things.
@petragerbracht18 күн бұрын
Ufff this is a very long text 😅😅😅😅 ... I do not know so many different resins. However, with every resin you use it is important that it has a honey consistency for the 3D Bloom. In my case I let Mastercast Part A and B sit on the heating because it was cold in the room where I store it. When I mixed part A and B it was very think (much thinner than ususal). I should have given it 10 - 15 minutes before pouring. The webeffect normally has not much influence of the bloom (I say normally ... of course there are exceptions).
