An attempt to explain why he was thrown off, the sum of all integers from 1 to 5 billion does just about overflow 64-bit if you're not careful. The arithmetic sum will *just* overflow due to the divide by two is done too late. He catches the error a bit into the video but I am not sure he really believed himself because he then ran after the signed / unsigned multiply. I think this is a red herring. If you're going to multiply and divide very large numbers the product might fit into 64-bit if you're a bit clever about it and not just do it as-is the formula (N+1)N/2. If you check which is even N or N+1 you can divide that first by 2 before the multiply and you're not overflowing. Ofc this only saves the 5 billion case for 10 billion you're toast anyway.

As a Linux and Temple OS user, he's absolutely right that making Temple OS more like Linux is not as impressive as just making it more like a 64 bit DOS. You can already achieve a Linux-Like Temple OS simply by installing Linux and porting over the programs from HolyC or porting the HolyC compiler to Linux. Maybe I'll sound out of touch to the average user, but this is relatively easy for the most part.

pure linux on its own is not much. you have to download thousands of different gits to make it personal computer, which isn't one person work. linux is kind of made by large community of people who were interested in independent OS. it's not the same as Commodore or other older Os. I can't say which is hard, but working with kernel is pain already.

@nattyfatty6.0 There were many uncensored videos of Terry on KZbin, and now they're almost all removed and the uploaders banned. I used to reupload them at one point, but gave up because it wouldn't be a month before they flagged my video and issued community strikes on my alt channels. I hate to say this, but I don't think we can accomplish reuploading his videos on this platform without censoring them. Maybe uploading snippets of censored clips while linking to the full video in the archive is a better idea.
