57 Dogs Rescued from South Korea Dog Meat Farm

Humane Society International rescued 57 dogs in March 2015 from a dog meat farm in South Korea. The farmer will be transitioning over to an agriculture business instead of farming dogs. The dogs arrived in San Francisco, CA and will be spread out to Emergency Placement Partners with The Humane Society of the United States. We are so thrilled for these dogs to be off the farm and closer to living in their loving forever homes they so desperately deserve.

Humane society international team, my Jinjoo crossed the rainbow bridge November 18,2023. She was so much joy to our family and specially to me. I had the sweetest dog rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea.It took a year before I could pat him. He had to learn how to play, what grass and a big yard was and how to trust me. He became the sweetest boy whose life ended too soon as a result of the the terrible conditions he endured on the meat farm. Thanks to the Humane Society International for the joy of having this boy in my life.

I really love dogs and I appreciate all the hard work you put in for rescuing these dogs. Now my dream job is working at a animal rescue team. @@madamhill2121 I love animals too but there is a difference in Culture. I don't see a problem with People eating dog if It's done humanely. We Americans eat hamburgers and pork and think nothing of it. I worked with an Asian co-worker that eats dog and can't find it in me to judge him when I eat beef. I believe there are so many problems in the world, that we should set standards on how things should be done than dictating to people. America use to set examples on how things should be done, not bully people. I believe in the end God will take Care of all this but we still live in a broken world.

Aside from humans eating cows, pigs, chickens and fish. Millions of animals are killed *everyday* for food......*BY OTHER ANIMALS*. It's a little something called the food chain. We humans are no different. I don't value the life of a dog over a pig. Muslim countries don't touch pigs, India doesn't touch cows. Yet western countries eat them. we are allowed to have different values. Some Chinese see no difference between dogs and cows....as is their right. If I ever go to China I'll be sure to try some dog meat. Good Bye while I go grab and warm up some food from the kitchen including some grilled *chicken* .
