You forgot the fact that the skeleton has a chance to pick up items for its bow. The bow dropped will always be full durability. Discovered it accidentally when I dropped a sword and saw a skeleton pick it up. Now I have a piwer 3 bow

I think the spider dies like that because spiders curl up upside-down when they die IRL, and/or because their wide model causes it to look weird due to halfway clipping into the ground and still sticking up weirdly.

Do not feed cookies to parrots. I can't emphasize that enough. Instead, feed wither roses to mooshrooms or bees and you'll find it doesn't even hurt them a slight bit (my favorite fact by the way).

Well if you look up the definition of "gender" for the English Oxford dictionary you get two meanings in one statement which are identity and biological sex. I did not expect the most popularly accepted English dictionary to adopt the 1% of the populations' take of what "gender" should also mean, but I guess it is what it is nowadays.

If a large enough number of people use a word with a certain meaning, that’s now one of its meanings. There’s no one in charge who decides to accept or reject the way people speak, the goal is to inform people how a word is used so they have a good idea what a person might mean when they say the word. I think 1% of the population underestimates how common identity would be as a definition, I would say it’s now somewhat common, at least among speakers of English.

However if we have for say, 100 different groups representing 1% of the population each with their own preferences on one word, should we cram all of their meanings in one statement? How far can we allow the diversion of ideas to cross before going "might as well consider it subjective"? We could eliminate all of this confusion by simply erasing the word "gender" from existence so there is no cross-confusion between biological sex and identity to begin with. Or are people intentionally mixing identity with biological sex in such a word in order to correlate the two as complementary to one another for the sake of making one's self perception feel more real which leads to having the expectations of being treated as such? At that point why should a word or idea exist if people cannot even agree upon what it means?

@@dominicormiston2755 it isn’t subjective per say, more just definitions change, and some words are used multiple different ways at once. Terrific comes from terror. Priceless and worthless are opposites but kinda have the same root. Awesome and awful are opposites and do have the dame root. Literally in it’s common use by people can mean either figuratively or literally. One word two opposite definitions. The reason we can’t do the things you suggest to make language more streamlined is that there’s nothing you can do to make the population follow rules. People are constantly inventing new ways of speaking, new words, new definitions for words, many of which contradict earlier definitions, and just because that makes it not perfectly certain what someone means when they say a word with multiple definitions, doesn’t mean we can just get rid of a definition or word for clarity. It’s not just that there’s an argument to be made that we should or shouldn’t do that, it’s also literally impossible. People don’t go to the dictionary to check if they way they speak in their daily life is correct, the dictionary goes to how people speak in their daily life to check if it is correct. It does get super confusing. One explanation I have is that sex and gender are separate things in some cultures, but not in others. As in biology, biological sex, XX vs XY is obviously separate from trying to perform a certain gender role. As evidenced by the fact that many cultures have 3 or more gender roles. There’s always been some portion of people who would say you can perform a gender different than the one associated with your sex. Whereas there are some cultures that associate sex much more closely with the gender role you perform. Does that make sense? I also find “gender” on its own unhelpful, so I just get more specific. If a person would call what I would call sex gender, I can specify “gender identity” when talking about how a person sees themself. Or I can say “gender role” when talking about how a culture classifies people into groups. It’s just about communication.
