Misa has been using a 5 string basses since 2015, when she replaced her old original 4 string Fender Jazz Bass. Here she is using her first Black Cloud, Black Smoker- her first 5 String.

Thanx for that guys. "Awkward" from the same concert has another guitar solo in it that has no right being there but Kanami makes it fit right into place. As you say ... They cant do no wrong. Thanx again for my suggestion.

I get psychogenic shivers with nearly every Band-Maid song. It’s like a music-drug they fiendishly inject into their music to keep you addicted… in a good way, of course. The first couple that come to mind at this moment are: Matchless Gum - the classical-like passage with that hunting chorus pedal and low bass effect just after the solo - especially the last two chords with the counter bass notes. It’s chilling; and second, the way Saiki soulfully attacks the first word “ I “ in the last lines of the official Choose Me MV, “I cannot wait forever…” combined with the raw, tribal drum and funky bass pulls. Pure rock phrasing. She only does it in the official MV. Thx, V. & Jason!

Misa has said she changed to the five string bass due to the songs Kanami was writing that had more range than she thought she could get from the four string. It sure adds to her tone and range!

MISA always plays 5 string bass. MISA is right up there at the top of all time bass player lists. John Entwistle - Stanley Clark - Tal Wilkenfeld - Getty Lee - Esperanza Spalding - so many to mention!

MISA started with a 4string Fender Jazz Bass in natural with a Jimi Hendrix sticker on it. The Black Smoker was her first custom bass.

MISA has used a 5 String Bass since she retired her Fender Jazz Bass with the Hendrix sticker on it and switched to a G & L .Then went for a 5 String Black Smoker by Black Cloud. Since then all her basses have been made by Black Cloud. They made her a J Style, a Precision SG, and her new MISA Signature Bass with the Offset Body, all 5 Strings.

Something just struck me. Earlier I watched your reaction to BAND-MAIKO and now I rewatched this one again. What struck me was I belive you two havn't reacted/watched Miku's side project Cluppo? "A solo project by Miku Kobato, the creator of BAND-MAID. A new music genre created titled HIPPIE-POPPO. Cluppo reinterprets the good old 70's music in a lovely and peaceful way." Who can resist that description?
