Bill Watts was way ahead of his time,so much wisdom.A professional all the way,I could listen to him all day long.

I always felt like Bill's heart was in the right place, regardless of what anyone says about him. He did more to advance African Americans in pro wrestling than ANY--and I mean ANY---other promoter in North America. People don't realize, he played on the first integrated football team at Oklahoma University in the 1950s. He learned early on the importance of getting along with those of different cultures--that they're people just like him, with the same dreams and aspirations he had, worthy of dignity and respect

I had NO idea he was like this. I can see he was probably very capable of making talent feel very small, but he definitely hasn't sat on his laurels. He's amassed a lot of general knowledge.
