Art Bell had the very best talk show that has ever been on the radio , I still listen to podcasts of his shows and really miss the live shows , I drive a tractor trailer for a living and his show passed a lot of miles by for me . Rest In Peace Art Bell ( KING OF THE AIRWAYS ) !!

I still miss Art Bell's great voice in the night. There are some wonderful specialty podcasts now, and I am grateful for the internet. But it was something special listening to Art Bell & guests talking *LIVE* late at night on AM radio about ghosts, UFO encounters, unexplained everything as well as anecdotes about his cats, knowing that others across the country, awake in the wee hours, were listening at the same time. May he rest in peace.

I've lived here in Pahrump for 20 years and I still haven't found anything good about Pahrump. With 110 degree weather all summer long and the only rain you get is in the Spring and Fall. If that's what you'd like more power to you. Hope you enjoy it. I only came here because of my mother, and now that she has passed, I'm trying to get out, and never step foot in this town again. But as I said, to each his own.

I`m almost positive that Art Bell broadcast his shows " Coast to Coast AM" during the week and his Sunday show " Dreamland" from his HOME. Easy to find-he had a 100 foot ham radio tower in his compound. The radio station came later and he sold it to a friend of his. He was syndicated on hundreds of radio stations at his peak. .

Love the Cherry Patch billboard. I was on a back road, years ago, on a Saturday morning, and I passed by the Cherry Patch. I had to laugh as there were 5 pick-up trucks in the parking area with garbage cans in the beds. Honey, I'm going to the dump, and they probably didn't mention they were hitting the Cherry Patch on the way back. I worked the night shift for many years and Art Bell keep me awake all night with his ahead of the times shows about all things mainstream radio would never cover.

Lived in Paramp Nevada 2014-2018 for 4 years. I really liked living in Pahrump. Rented a manufactured home on about 1.5 acres of land. Very peaceful, surrounded by mountains, so quiet. One of my very favorite things was waking just at sunrise and sit with my cup of coffee and listen to the birds singing . I would watch raven parents teaching their young to hunt and fly. It was so quiet out, you could here the wind going through their feathers as the ravens would fly over me. Came back to California because my hubby and I became grandparents. Great memories.

I am so glad that you gave a shout out to Art Bell. I only have half a dozen or so legit heroes, and he was one of them. Coast to Coast is still on the air, but it is now hosted by a guy named George Noory. The network and George himself screwed Art, and the show is a hollow shell of what it used to be. A lot of people thought Art was a nutcase, but if you listen to his shows, you can hear the amount of belief he had in each of his callers. The true genius of his show is that he allowed his guests to talk, sometimes at length, without being a dick to them.

They've got three new beautiful master planned communities here putting about 5,000 houses in each community . Half the price of Vegas and just as nice. (43 minutes = best time from Pahrump to Vegas

Listened to Art Bell when he was on the radio. Shucks, he's dead, but still "on the radio" in that on weekends a recorded show from the past is played over the airwaves!!!! Always enjoy your interesting tours.

Your new home must seem like an oasis of tranquility compared to Vegas. There is much to be said for peace and quiet, especially when we outgrow the need for people.

Art Bell could afford to live anywhere, but he loved this location. He is also laid to rest in the small cemetery there, with the desert sky above.

Great town! Helped me out. I just happened to get a picture of my bosses car sitting in the parking lot of the Venus Bath House, with his bosses truck parked next to it. My job got a lot easier after that. Their wives were home in Virginia.

Home Depot was my Dad's favorite Toy Store. That, and the coffee was reasonable. It was hard getting him out of there. Sadly he passed on the 27th of March last year. Still miss him.

I always 😂 when any KZbinrs refer to town's with tens of thousands of people as small. The nearest towns surrounding my rural location ranges from 200 to 3200. Rapid City is the nearest small City. We'll have to checkout Pharump when out that way and in need of a small town feel 😊😎

I remember Pahrump from 1962 when there was nothing there but former agriculture land. I was serving our country in the Navy and found an ad in a military magazine advertising land for sale. $595 for one acre. I bought one and years later sold it for $17,000. Maybe I should have kept the acre after seeing the town of Pahrump today.
