You come up with these Tech Help videos just when I need them. I have an events form that we have a ComboBox to add members to the events. With having 2 or 3 people putting them in they don't look to see who's already registered. So I have been working on this for a bit and here you come along with it and pop you got it. Thanks!!

Hi Richard. If I could make a suggestion. You may already address it somewhere but I can't seem to locate it anywhere. Please address these TechHelp videos with the option when using a "number ID". In other words if I have a table that I link to another through and ID, which then stores that ID in the field which avoids duplicating information on various tables. Most of the Tech Help Videos deal with a name but how do we deal with a number that we need to find? Not sure if I am making sense but can't think of a way to explain clearly. Hi Richard, got a system offline error when trying to access the forum. I will post here and also post in the forum once it is up. I simplify the tables here to address the issue. I have a customer table which consists of following fields "CustomerID (autonumber & primary key)" , "Lastname" & "Firstname". In this Customer Table, I record every single person I communicate with. I then have a Service Table for the service I offer with the following fields "ServiceID (autonumber & primary key) , "CustomerID ( number and linked to "CustomerID" in the Customer Table). This avoids me duplicating all the customer info when they subscribe to a service I offer. So my Service Table doesn't store the customers physical name but a number (linked to Customer Table). My challenge is, how do I create a search form to search for customers by their actual names in my Service Table using the customers physical name, which has to then be converted to the CustomerID which is a number. I have created a query which lists all CustomerID's with the Customers Name linked to that ID. I recall one of your TechHelp videos addressing this and having to create the query mentioned earlier was part of the solution, followed by a "DLookup". For the life of me I can't recall which video addressed this search.
