🌼 Some extra questions I couldn’t reply to in the video: Q: How do you balance KZbin work with taking care of a toddler? A: I've found that the best time for filming and editing is when my toddler is asleep. Trying to work on content while they're awake can be quite challenging. It took a while for my toddler to establish a consistent sleep routine, and we went through various sleep regressions too. This meant that I couldn't dive into KZbin right away after deciding to start. But that's perfectly fine. If your little one hasn't settled into a routine yet, it's important to prioritize rest. The great thing about KZbin is that you can begin at any point that works for you or even just post once a month if you want to just test it out and see if it’s for you. Q: how do you stay happy? A: I think happiness can be found everywhere, we just need to be in a state to accept it. Because of this, I think we must first prioritise health - eating well, sleeping well (or at least as parenthood allows..), exercising accordingly. Only then we’ll be able to see the beauty in the simple things around us. Q: what’s your method to post weekly? A: I roughly plan my video on Monday morning, about 15-20 minutes to figure out the general theme of the video. Tuesdays or Wednesdays are my filming days. This usually takes 2-3 hours, depending on the content of my video. I edit on Thursdays because it’s the day 🐢 takes 🐨 to swimming class and lunch outside. That gives me (together with the morning hours) a total of ~5hours to edit. I’ll start by cutting the videos, then I’ll add captions, and lastly I’ll colour grade (if you can call what I do colour grading hahah…) If I can’t finish by Thursday, I’ll finish by doing one more hour Friday morning.

Don't give up on your PhD there is still plenty of time you are young. Once your daughter grows and starts school, you will have you time. I am 68 and I started my first uni course this year.

I am watching this from Italy while on vacation, got sick and looking for calming videos, this one caught my eye :) I often question my decisions not to be a stay at home mom (for many reasons: not to waste my education, have to help support my family back home, it always seemed irresponsible to stay home) but I do regret it now that kids are older. I know I could’ve given them so much more than I did.😢 but we all make choices in life and it’s important not to regret them. I am still struggling with regrets.

Same as you I also decided to become a full-time mom to all my friends' surprise. It was not a hard decision back then because I had no other choice (we live in a foreign country with no family around). But it was a hard journey. There were times I felt like I had no passion in life. When my kids grew up a bit more, I've been gradually finding back what I really want and what I am passionate about. I wish you would pursuit your PhD plan in the future and live a life that makes your future self feel proud of you 💕

I recently discovered you as well, I must say these videos are sooo good!!! I have one tip regarding camera settings though, try to shoot with a shutter-speed that is around double the framerate e.g 24fps=1/50 - 30fps=1/60. You'll get more light into the lens as well as more natural motion blur + you'll be able to lower your Iso which will result in less grain : ) maybe you've already fixed this in the videos you upload at the moment but I just thought I would mention it.

I like the quote in the beginning of the video about children through their ages. Another quote I’ve heard previously: “Kids are economically worthless and emotionally priceless”. I don’t know how expensive child day care is in Australia but in the US, it can be quite high. And on top of that, if you work, you’re making money to pay for someone else to watch and care for your child. Does Australia adopt the European model for benefits to new moms and parents?

Hi! 😊🌸🌸 I have been to France a couple of times and I loved it a lot ☺️ I have thought a lot about all the things that I could do once I have more free time, such as the possibility of leveraging whatever I’d have achieved with this channel into something else or resuming studies to advance my professional career.
