Congratulations Bob. You are always so gracious and genuine. You have expanded my reading experience with books I would not have ordinarily gravitated towards. Keep going and don’t sweat about the small stuff. Camera etc. 🙏🏻🥰

I don’t like asking personal questions to booktubers. I think other than books ,your life is your own. Congratulations on getting over 5k. Here’s to the next 5. 🎉🤩🥳🍀

Congrats, Bob! 🎉 My question: Have you ever done voice work? I think that you would make a great audiobook/movie/commercial narrator, and I suspect you’ve heard this many times before. Also, I second Ben Reads Good’s question.

Hi Bob! I’m a new subscriber and I love your channel. I’m happy to have found a new Booktuber whose opinion about books I can trust. Please do not worry about the quality of your camera etc. none of those things matter. What I love about your channel is your ability to give honest and thoughtful book reviews. Your analysis of books is always spot on. I can tell from your reviews how much reading means to you, and I appreciate it. I love your book recommendations for that reason. My question for the Q&A: if you are to be stranded on an island alone for a long time 😅 what would be the three books that you would bring with you? What are the top three books that you reread?

Congrats on 5k and happy booktube bday! Questions: After 4 years, are you sick of talking about the booker prize yet? Do you think you'll ever be sick of it? (we hope not!) Can you share more about your pet sitting? How you got started, favorite pets, future plans? If you had to be Bob the - someotherprize, which prize would you choose?

Hey Bob, a massive congratulation on achieving that milestone! Im so happy for you! I've fairly quite recently subscribed to your channel and have been a fond member ever since. After I finished The Seven Moons Of Maali Almeida last month; I went to youtube and searched for bookreviews of the book; because I essentially loved and adored the book to pieces. I just wanted to see what's others opinion regarding this book. Your video was the first video I clicked and my oh my! Your way of slowly delving into the labyrinths of nuance throughout the book and your way of discussing a piece's literary intricacy really stroke me, so I then browsed your channel and I loved the idea of your Booker Project and had seen quite a few of your videos; then chose to subscribe. Your "32nd Birthday 32 books that shaped me" video is my favorite one till date. I really really really loved that video and took quite alot of book recs. I just want to say thank you really, for putting up all this content that feels like warmth and radiates cozy homey vibes. For questions, I perhaps only have 1, that is: What makes a book worthy of "5 stars" for you and what type of book you essentially tend to give 5 stars? Some recs would be really appreciated haha. Thank you! Cheers!

Congratulations!! I always appreciate your thoughtful content! Question: Look back on your reading experiences and those books that evoked a deeper emotional or just more lasting impression on you. Do you see any common themes, subject matter, or elements of writing style etc that you feel are the reasons these books stand out for you?

Congratulations! Thank you for your weekly reading wrap ups, now a Sunday ritual. Also for championing independent presses! Keep it going please! How do you ensure reading shortlists, long lists in a tight time frame doesn’t have a negative impact on your reading of the books. I’ve tried to read a few shortlists recently and I’ve struggled as the pressure makes me race through some books and I miss the detail etc. Cheers and best wishes for the future of your channel!

Hey hey hey....5k....congrats you certainly deserve it. The channel is simply presented, consistent in content & above all, honest, all much appreciated. I've a question for you, if you don't mind. It kind of relates to honesty I guess. I use Goodreads where I formed an online bookish friendship with a fellow reader on the other side of the world. I knew he was Jewish which was fine by me, I'm interested in cultural differences. However, things turned sour when the horrendous Israeli aggression escalated in the Middle East and he recently 'came out' declaring himself as a Zionist. This was so difficult to hear for me, as a liberal, that I've cooled off my contact as I feel abhorred. He's not what I'd consider a personal friend but I did value the online chats on books. Can I ask how you might respond in, what is for me, such a depressing situation. Thanks & may your open-minded channel continue to prosper.

Thank you! And for this question- I think it might be easier as a comment! Gosh, that can be tricky. I’ve had similar things come up and I’m not quite sure on the answer. I guess it depends on what relationship you want with them next and whether you think that’s something that you can overlook as part of it. I’d find it very difficult personally, particularly if it’s getting in the way of feeling comfortable around them, or it’s not possible to talk about something else without that coming up. Sorry, that’s not really a clear answer from me, but that’s so thorny, and it can make it so tricky. All the best, either way!
