Greetings. The expression given can be rewritten as 5M^2 +5M = M^2 -M -2M +2. Thereafter we transpose and collect like terms to get 4M^2 +8M -2 =0. This results into 2M^2 + 4M -1 after dividing the entire by 2. I tried favtoring by looking on the expression and saw syraight awau that it would not work. Therefore, I switched to the good old quadratic equation formula, -b plus or minus the square root of b^2 - 4ac all upon 2a. Thereafter, I simply plugged in the values for a, b, and c, 2, 4, and -1 respectively to get -4 plus or minus the square root of (16+8) allover 2×2. The result of the calculations gives negative 4 plus or minus the square root of 24 all over 2×2 = -2 +, - the square root of 6 all over 2. Sorry, I don't have the necessary keys for the symbols.

My teacher would mark your answer as incorrect because there is no x in the problem. The answer would start with "m=". But I must admit I took algebra 66 years ago.

Glad to see someone else with this solution. After seeing his solution I thought, no, it’s only solving a quadratic, how could I be wrong? But going over my work again I see where both are right. Interesting.

12.27 is wrong stuff 4m^2+8m-2 Take 2 common, 2m^2+4m -1 But cant erase that 2 , with extra incumbence of 2 , that extra 2 where from will come, who's false do cuu 😂
