Real talk....some of you need to listen to a battle with blind folds on not knowing whos who then judge battles like these because most of you JSU and SU fans or fans of a certain college band period can be very biased and judge sounds by the uniform!

exactly that's all they doing...The arrangement of He Loves Me by SU sounded great...but because its SU JSU won't give credit... that OH Yea by JSU sounded great..but SU won't fans won't give due..that's just how it is

SU won man and it wasn't even close.. I've come to noticed that Boom fans come flood the comments saying they won before they probably even watch the clip in its entirety.. If you can watch this 5th and say JSU won, I just don't know man.. SU arrangements are just on another level, it isn't fair.

Lol the person over this channel is a big SU homer. Notice all the SU videos on this channel and right in front of Southern too. They still getting blown away though. Tubas way better, drumline better, trombones way better, Mellos way better, Baritones tied, and woodwinds way better. SU trumpets are better but that's it. Ya tubas sound like they farting. Better luck next year when you come to memorial stadium. Also camera man need to get in the middle of the horseshoe next year.

and on Marvin Price video of the 5th he is positioned where the Boom is facing the camera and SU is front the side and playing straight ahead...so wasn't facing the camera and I heard them just fine as well...so that's not an argument

I love both bands but JSU trumpets seemingly over 50 don't sound as strong as you or I would expect.

Su should be heard more....JSU got damn near twice the lower brass SU has, JSU has 44 trombones alone!!! Also half of those 40 JSU trumptes are freshmen!!!

No matter how you try to balance JSU out...44 bone, 20 something Btones & 20 mellos...man its hard to balance that with just 40 trumpets! Maybe JSU should tone down the lower brass, that will help, They have already begin to sound better & trumpets are stronger now. Thats just a hell of a lower brass section..& they pushing..lol!!!

I can hear JSU trumpets...they doing okay to me...for what they pushing against! SU mellos help there trumpets on alot of tunes....& damn near the whole SU trumpet section on 1st & most are screaming, thats not JSU's way, they hardly ever write that way, Trumpets have to push as a section!!! & JSU dont have as many 1st trumpet players or screamers as SU...the directors won't allow it....a select few scream cause they want consistant screamers not hit & miss...atJSU they have 1st, 2nds & etc.try to sound more deeper full sound.

+michael wright JSU have a couple of songs that sound better than SU....that they both play. JSU's Let it Burn is clearly better, JSU's this could be us.... is better, & I like JSU's the Weekend better. But overall arrangements goes to SU...they really strong on ballads! I really enjoy Haymer on them ballads...that DUDE is the best!!!!
