Nice rig! Jayco makes an eagle 24re that we like better, but this one is very nice. We do like the discipline area in the back. Great review, thank you!

I love this model, so we went and looked at it. Turns out if your husband is 6’3 as soon as he goes up the stairs his head is on the roof knocking the light covers, no hat today either. I could have cried.

Oh bummer, those tall guys can be a problem eh? haha I mean they can reach all of those high upper cabinets that seem useless to us but I get why he isn't happy about banging his head. Keep looking there are lots of other 5th wheels with high ceilings out there. Good luck

I own a 2022 28.5RSTS and pull it with a 2018 2500 ram Cummins with air bags. Zero issues getting up to speed, going uphill or traveling at highway speed. Few concerns is access to kitchen area when slides are closed, the furnace is weak in cold weather and the trifold sofa is extremely uncomfortable(your feet/calves are 1” higher than your butt, back and head). We are empty nesters and this thing fits in everywhere you go. Get the solar package but jayco didn’t put a inverter outlet for coffee in the kitchen(?), there 4 behind the TV(?), not sure 🤔 who was on the design team that day. This thing will take care of 95% of your wants, big tanks, solar, outdoor kitchen, smart app touch screen, closed insulated under belly, roomy, walk in shower, lightweight and fits in most parks. Shop around. MSRP was 74k and and we paid 50k for 2022.

Very nice Trailer. Super counter space beside the stove and so much storage throughout. I love JAYCO. Great review as always. I would change to the 4 stepper entrance too. Even with my 4 stepper sometimes I have to still use my extra portable step. The one needed it on a flat surface. That is quite the high cupboard over the pantry. Hm, I too wonder what you would put up there. Something light weight for sure because you would need a 4 foot ladder just to reach it ... LOL. But it is better than open space. I would also go queen in the bedroom. The box can be cut to queen size so most dealers order King so the buyer can decide. You can always go down but not so easy going up. Enjoy the rest of your summer. I will tell my Brother In-Law about this one. It appears to be perfect for him and his wife.

What we have been noticing is that there is a lot of mattress hanging over the platform as a larger platform would not fit well either so again we just think this particular bed would be better suited to a queen. Nice review - I agree a king bed doesn't belong in that bedroom. Also seems to not have a lot of hanging space.

You can make it fit but there would be so much more space with a smaller mattress so we guess it depends on your wants, needs and priorities. We would have a queen. We thought the closet wasn't too bad for the size of the trailer. We have certainly seen more but always in bigger trailers. You could also make the cupboard area into more closet which would make it huge. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching

I wonder if an owner could put one of those washable reusable cut to size furnace filters in the floor vents to cut down on dirt and make it easier to clean ? Maybe not on all but at least the high traffic areas . A nice RV , I like that the stove and oven are not centered so that it has more counter space .

We think that you could do that but the con would be less airflow and these furnaces don't blow as strong as a residential one so you could try it and see how it goes. We loved the counter space too. Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching

Absolutely agree with the comment on counterspace. In many models (from all manufacturers) I have seen over the years, sinks and stovetops often split usable countertop space 50/50 so you are left with 10/12" on either side. That's really not practical workspace. I'd much prefer ~20-24" on one side than two little chopped up pieces.

I would like to know who makes the frame . There are a lot of frame failures out there . And how the roof skin is made. A lot of complaints about them blowing deteriorating from wind a bd rain. I’m not in no way pointing to Jayco. I’m leaning to them because if the warranty and build quality . Are the frames a good frame ?

Our research found that Jayco engineers and builds their own chassis. We have heard of some failures too, not many but some and it is a concern. There are a few different styles of engineering of 5th wheel chasssis and to date we have not found evidence that completely defines one of them as the most superior. They would not return multiple phone calls and emails to multiple different people. Although we do like the Jayco products if their level of response to us reflects their level of response to a customer we would be concerned

Hide a bed is terrible. Would not recomened it.

Hide a beds are notorious for not being the best sleeping experience in any brand of RV so we would not recommend making your choice of which to purchase based on it. In any RV if you plan to use the pull out sofa frequently we would recommend get a mattress topper. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
