t stop makes your wheels live shorter, you need good balance for it so it's quite hard to do in emergency situation when your balance is already a bit off. on short downhill with a pretty big angle (I hope you get what i mean) brakes r the safest and can save life, which actually happened to me (if i didn't manage to stop i would end up on a road under some car and there werent good conditions for t-stop). no way i ever remove the brake

@@julia.95 us folks who use rollerblades on ramps/hand-rails etc can't have the break on the back (creates friction when on uneven surfaces etc), so we all used to use t-stops until we were good enough to learn the ol' hockey stop/parallel- really a must considering those breaks can be very slow especially if you're going fast.

If you're skating in a city with people & traffic, go for ABS brakes. All 4 wheels stay on the ground. Much safer ✅

just learn other ways to brake, the rubber brakes that come attached are way too slow and way too weird to be safe or efficient. Take them off and learn a t stop and later on spin stops. Be sure to skate in safe areas until then

Imagine using brakes to stop :| here are five ways to get your self kil**d with brakes on : 1. going down the stairs with brakes on - this one will do it for you (proven by experts *me*)! 2. doing the "grass stop" - it will kill your bearings too :) . 3. doing 540^ judo grip in skate park and hitting heel on the ramp - you will end up rolling around like a kebab. 4. thinking you can stop with brakes on downhill - (don't try this one at home) *this one can actually kil* you* 5. committing sui**de - because you will be unable to to do spins, jumps, power-slides, 2 wheel crossovers...
