The cockiness is just the cherry on top of the cake ... if I was Eric I would not have corrected him either 😂 when someone is that convinced that they are right (and them being right is not causing me harm)then it’s not my place to correct them. I think Eric was very insecure about his relationship especially cuz how everyone around thought he was not good enough for Donna and for him being smart is probably the only "perk"

@stutteringcris468: In other words, it's a 70s belief that men should be doing all of the dirty work necessary to keep the woman satisfied (by working for money and buying things for women with it), as a way of perpetually making up for the fact that men were supposedly born and raised as more competent people. Somehow, serving another person for a lifetime, even after the children become adults and no longer need someone to perform the duty of raising them, isn't enough penance, and in addition to still having to do this today, men are also supposed to allow women positions and benefits simply for being/living as a woman.
