41.3 of H4350 with CCI 450's works good in my Delta 5 Pro (2780fps SD 4.6) and my 18 inch suppressed AR10 (2550 SD 6), 5 round groups average between .4-.6 in each rifle. Awesome combo and lovely to shoot out to distance. I went up to 41.7 and found it was the best for my bolt gun but since I usually shoot them both and dont feel like only having ammo for one or the other, just grab and go. I used your video as a reference as I was loading for my AR10 first and using starline small rifle primer brass and backed it off for the first load to be safe. 41.5 ended up having primer swipes and 42 shot really good but the swipes were so bad in the AR10 it was raising little shavings off the back of the case.

On the sierra reloading App there is an asterisk starting at 42.6 and going to 43.3 grains of H4350 indicating high pressure loads.

No complaints at all with results in my book. Whitetail loading with any of these any deer in season. Excellent powder for temp variables. I would look at the 42.0 & may give 42.2 or 42.3 a look if I wanted a bit more velocity. But this looks like a winner all the way around.

Not _technically_ a hunting bullet, but likely quite lethal with the proper shot placement!

Rem 7 1/2 is thick cup, not as hot as the cci 450, works best in my rifle. Work up slowly. Savage barrels are accurate, keep the copper fouling out of the barrel which means de coppering every 25-30 rounds. A teslong bore scope is around 89 bucks, your best friend in keeping your barrel shooting small groups. For deer, don't over look the 130g Hornady eld M and the 140g Hornady BTHP! My rifle likes the bullets seated very close to the lands, which is why the 140g bthp is a great performer. Also, the 129g Hornady SP is one heck of a deer and hog bullet, thinks it is a partition in penetration.

I'm running 42 grains h4350 berger 140 hybrid and cci 450 at 2775 with 26" Bartlein. No signs at pressure at all. Interesting.

Good shooting! FYI, the shadows on the group size font makes it a little hard to read the results on a phone. Not a big deal, though.

All of my Savages like a short jump to the rifling. I'm guessing you have no idea how far off the lands you are, but I'd recommend Hornady's OAL gauge with the special case so that you can find the rifling and get those bullets seated .005" to .010" off the lands.
@dahut36142 жыл бұрын
He _usually_ says at which length they hit the lands, and he does use _some_ method for determining this. In the previous video featuring this bullet for the first time, he stated that he did not measure ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmS3pqFvaJeNd6c ), and only verified that the bolt would close. I bought one of those Hornady OAL gauges and find it super easy and convenient compared to previously employed methods.

What’s your opinion on savage rifles now that you have more experience with them?
@RobsReloading2 жыл бұрын
Both of my savage rifles shoot excelent. The ones I have experience with are very tolerant to loads. I like the accutrigger even though a lot of people do not like the blade style trigger. The one complaint would be the action. They are not exactly smooth, however they get better with use. They seem to be a great affordable rifle. Not perfect, but the accuracy so far has been excellent.

Yikes, 43.3gn per Sierra loading table?? Glad my Sierra & Hornady manuals show 41.5 & 41.4 as max. Even Nosler show 41.0gn as max with H4350.

43.3gr predicted at 2780fps according to the sierra app.

What bags do you use at the front and rear of your gun?

Front bag is a basic Caldwell bag filled with sand. Rear bag is an Armagedon gear gamechanger.

CCI 400s aren't rated for the kind of pressure you're generating. That's why your primers are flat as a pancake.
