Hey Ferenzi, great video. My fuel shutoff solenoid started failing the same day I had replaced my PMD. 3 starts that day, then no more starts. Ordered ANOTHER PMD but still no start. Then I found your instructional video and realized this was the next owner serviceable part. Found the best price (by $50) and quickest delivery on RockAuto. Now my old truck starts and runs again. Just in time for it’s 29th birthday. Thanks, DGBryan

Good catch on that one! It fired right up BUT makes me wonder what purpose that spring is for then. He didn't show stopping the truck, unless it showed as being an issue then, that the spring wasn't there. He either forgot that spring is in there or never changed that solenoid before, which SHOULD make a person that much more careful when taking it out. Big problem when worried about the camera and not what he is doing. Maybe he doesn't read the comments either.

does it need the bottom spring? I think I just losted when removing old one?
@MrPoptartbob10 күн бұрын
@@CarlosHernandez21x I’m not sure. But you can cut the working end off the solenoid and just delete it in a sense. Where it can’t close off fuel anymore and still plug the hole. The spring is responsible for making sure it returns to open position.

Dont put silicon! Thats how it grounds. Metal to metal.
