They should have designed a layout that merges the 2 sitting areas (on the first floor). Because the sitting are are separated, it makes the space smaller than it actual is. Also, the bathrooms look a little bit on the cheap side. The master bedroom is a bit small. There are many “rooms/bedrooms” in the house so would happily eliminate one or two of those rooms to get a bigger master. What I hate the most is the wood floor on the 2nd floor. It should have been tile. However, I do like the big patios, the front yard and backyard. Most modern houses have a tiny backyard. Because of the big backyard, it makes it looks that the neighbors are not so close to the house. The front of the house allows multiple cars to be parked which is nice. And the rooms on the first floor can turned into office or bedrooms which is good.

hasn't sold and its $200,000 a year in taxes besides having to have an electrician/handyman on staff and two ladies cleaning daily :)

Did you say "six air conditioning units?" .... Why not central air? This was the very reason I rejected a $1.5 million, 4 bedroom home (in New York) several years ago. That house had 9 air conditioning units throughout the house. Interestingly, it was the most beautiful home of all the homes I had viewed during my hunt for a property back then. Central air/heat for me .... not several a/c units.
