I will try to use the Prosight with a Pixhawk FC, until now, i am pretty sure that Pixhawk i still not support by Connex but Cleanflight is and can contribute to get a better OSD that the generic one that is offer from the prosight transmitter alone.... I am wondering is a setup can be done using the Pixhawk for about flight related function and a second Cleanflight controller to add OSD and maybe also strip led flashing control that behave from the the direction (left right accelerate and brake) received by the radio transmitter.... Do you think that king of setup can be done? and what cleanflight FC would you suggest to be match with a Pixhawk 4? (or if you have a simpler solution... i will be surel appreciated)! Thank you for your help and have a nice day

I cover how I wired mine up in the previous videos in the series. Best of luck!

Hi. I am flying both analog an digital (connex prosight) and one of the biggest items I perceived as limitation is the link instability. My trust in an analog video link is really high compared to digital and as others I can fly with an extremely noisy analog image. So I was wondering, if technically the digital link can switch to an analog signal link as fallback. Guess this is an obvious thought, so have you ever discussed this approach with the connex people or other companies? Another probably obvious thought for HD video link is to combine multiple analog links, e.g 4 of them to transmit with twice the resolution? Did you ever thought about or discuss this with developers? Ofcause this is not a solution for a race, but for freestyle is might be one.

Hello, any chance to get the on board (Lipo) voltage over mavlink, if the VTX is connected to a bec?

Nice video, thanks, now make some flight videos with it, especially behind obstacles like trees

A complete series on it is coming very soon.. Happy flying!

thanks for this video. been looking for it for so long. one question, i am using 4s & 5s on my quad and powering the connex from my pdb 12v. now my battery voltage is never correct. is there a way to get voltage from fc displayed on the osd or is there a device that i can use that will send battery volage to the connex when i plug 4s and regulated voltage when i plug in 5s? thanks again.

The voltage on the OSD is from the voltage input unless you have the MAVLink telemetry connected and then it's the voltage that the flight controller detects (so I understand!). You'll need to use the FC to detect the voltage and setup the Vtx like I have it here.. Best of luck!

Hi. Really very nice video. However, I can't get it to work under BF 3.3.1. How did you configure the FC? Do I need to do something special with the Connex Prosight to show me the telemetry data?
@Painless3606 жыл бұрын
The telemetry is MAVLink for the Connex. So you need to configure the UART you're using for the OSD as MAVlink in the ports tab in Betaflight. It's all covered in the manual. I'd try another UART if it's not working else let the supplier know you need support. Best of luck!

I'm also having this issue. I'm using betaflight 3.3.3. I've tried two separate UARTS, and it's not working. I know telemetry itself is working, because SmartPort is working. Did you ever figure it out?
@MarkusJevring6 жыл бұрын
I tried UART1 (where SmartPort telemetry normally works) and UART2. My RX is connected to UART3. Is there any reason to believe that it would *only* work with uart3?

Reverting to 3.1.7 "fixes" the issue.

Ok, good hint. I have not been successful. Connex prosight support was not able to help with bf, unfortunately. Can you send a screen shot how it looks like?

Looks like a great system, but too expensive, for me at least.

I'm keen to cover it in more depth so pilots can make their minds up using more detail than a few blokes flying around a bridge/field with a £500 set of goggles and making 'OOh' noises.. ;) I'm planning to make a series that to look at it that will help those using/considering buying a set. Happy flying!

hi painless360.love your vids.very informative.been subscribed to for quite a few years now..I wonder if you can help.i,ve just bought a afroflight 32 rav6 flight controller and a naze32 full flight controller.the problem i have is,i,ve connected them up to cleanflight,evrything works in cleanflight.the boards arm ok,but quadcopter does not fire up.i,ve treid the usual reflash/reboot/unplug,replug in but with no luck.just would like to know,if you,ve come across anything like this.thanks.keep the vids coming.

I'd check that the motors work in the calibration tab. See the 'Quadcopter Building for Beginners' series where we go through the calibration and setup steps in a lot more detail.. Best of luck!
