6.7 CUMMINS NO START Follow up video of my first 6.7 Cummins crank no start. In this video I will pick up where the first video left off, showing you the no start process along with some tech tips for working on this truck.

working on a 6.7 rn , might have the same issue. I did all my fuel flow testing for the pressure regulator test, the HPFP performance test, and lift pump test everything checks ok and is passing within spec, diesel does not show contaminants, My fuel pressure command at 4000 but the fuel rail is only seeing 2000 so still concerned on that but I did have missfire codes and injector circuit codes permanently stored, but none are showing active or stored within my witech pod i had to go through a different section to see permanent codes, that’s just crazy tho how the pcm can poop out like that, im goin ohm test injectors to pcm and if all checks ok i’ll attempt a PCM update before i order one… dealer tech here also

Hey there so here is a couple things about this, first is I had codes leading me down the road I went down. If you clear the injector circuit codes and it is still a crank no start but no codes return after attempting two times to start then that is possibly a different issue. If you have a crank no start you really can't look at the fuel rail pressure in the scan tool because it is a high pressure low volume system which means that if one injector is leaking the rail will not hold enough volume for the engine to start. I have had some that did that. I had to test rail pressure sensor with a multi meter and fuel port block off caps. You have to look at rail pressure with multi meter and turn on key, if it does not show a reading increasing and staying there then you disconnect one injector fuel tube and block it off with block off caps, then you keep moving down the line until you block off a port and the voltage reading shows the proper reading and stays there with key on and off. Most meters I’ve ever used have about .1 to .2 ohms resistance. Also, Thankyou for you informative video. Im dealing with a 2018 ram that I’m dealing with, I can’t get any of my scanners to communicate. My Vci reports good battery voltage from the port when key is cycled to ign. All signs are pointing to bad pcm like totally bricked. Some other weird stuff happens like brake lights stay on and just recently the wipers started going by themselves intermittently. I sent the tipm out for testing and it was said to be ok. I feel as though the can line is not present for the pcm and it’s causing other modules to do weird things. Let me know what you think.

Nice work on this one. I'm working on a 2013 6.7 with a crank no start. Commanded FP is 5K but the rail pressure is showing 26K while cranking. Have you ever seen high pressure while cranking causing a no start?

Got one that 6.7 that I changed the head gasket out of it and I cannot get it to crank back up I got to start up one time it was running rough than a shut back down and I can't get it a start back up
