I would also like to see a video on the exhaust sound. Just installing the delete pipe vs a whole exhaust would make it much easier to put the dpf back on for warranty work. thanks

if you are going to do this its because you want to improve the MPG and HP, it sounds more like a 7.3 when you get on it, idling it sounds just the same so your neighbors aren't going to be angry

I did found out EGR was 95% plugged 130K wish I did it sooner truck runs much cooler I get 25mpg hwy

how hot of a tune are you running to achieve that mileage? I too am not really interested in power, mainly mileage. I just purchased a sct tuner and delete kit for exhaust and egr today and am wondering how hot to ru it for the best mileage and not be hard on the engine.. thanks!

I run a 40hp tune, haven't tried anything else, i pull a trailer often so thats where i leave it.

If you leave the egr on for more than 1k miles with it unplugged your basically screwed for warranty work. the EGR valve remains closed creating a dam that catches soot and after about 1k miles of driving so much soot builds up that your EGR is now garbage. most people choose to remove because the engine coolant flows better without it and if you had to ever bring it in you can slap the CLEAN egr back on and not miss a beat. your egr is basically ruined now and your truck will not run properly if you put the dpf back on and attempt to use it.

+fullertonautone oh no, i fully agree and understand im just explaining why most people remove rather than unplug. Some people on some online forms im a part of also claim that in coming years they may be more strict and or require emissions testing in all states and you may have to "de tune" so people like to keep there equiptment in clean working order and remove it from the beginning.

I have a 2015 super duty but worried to delete the dpf because of my warranty, had ford given you any issues with that ??

it does void the warranty, but if you reinstall and replace the stock computer tune then you would be fine to seek dealer service

What do you do for your inspection each year? I am thinking about doing a dpf back exhaust on my 11' 6.7 powerstroke but I'm afraid it won't pass inspection. And if you get pulled over at all will the cops ticket you for having an illegal exhaust?

Not sure a DPF back exhaust will do you any good and i don't think it will still pass a test. I don't have any inspections here, good luck and let me know.

I've got a 2014 Ram 2500 deleted here in Nashville, TN. I passed last month(June) to renew mt tags. EGR and DPF were deleted. NO Cat, DPF, EGR. I think it depends really who is doing the inspection.

dpf back exhaust is a waste of money the sound and flow won't increase a bit

Just so you know I don't know what state you're in but in TN i just passed with EGR, DPF, CAT delete in my 2014 ram 2500 6.7. So you should be fine. If the police pull you over turn off your truck so they won't hear the different exhaust tone, but to be honest most police officers don't care.

You won't be able to get warranty now, you deleted the def system you warranty is voided, and the tune stays in your computer so if you put it back to stock and take it to ford they will deny it

The only reason a guy will see the dealership for warranty issues will be related to the DEF/EGR/DPF. Eliminate all these and you will never have to visit the dealership before warranty expires. 168, 000 kms on my 2015 and never seen the dealership. been deleted since 17,000km.

Start the damn thing and stop wasting peoples time I have no problem hearing a speech about what you think and how you did it but when I click on an exhaust video I expect to hear it
