Would also apply stick on number plates…both front and rear. Supplied plates look cheap. Also essential are front and rear boot trays. Easy to then remove for cleaning and keep original surfaces in pristine condition. Finally do go for a ceramic coating for your paintwork. Apart from helping to retain colour it makes cleaning a whole lot easier…no need to spend loads of time polishing. Just wash and go!

My advice on after market add ons (doohickies) , for what it is worth! An add in draw for the front sliding compartment is great. Stops you digging around for sunglasses etc £15 amazon brilliant. The divider for the deep pocket on the left of the boot which makes the pocket deeper and hold stuff in £7 ebay really useful. The secret storage pocket under the arm rest £12 amazon bought but seldom used. The bag hanger to screw into the boot £3 ebay great for occasional use and dirt cheap!

The dust cap covers look great but be aware the two metals react and bond together....learnt the hard way on that one!!

@@AdamWellinformed I had a wheel refurbished following some kerb rash 🙄and asked that very question.....the chap said just use the plastic ones....he had seen many car wheels with metal dust caps that had bonded to the metal valve stem.

@@ThoseCrazyrivers so we're talking about the valve stem caps? I installed some nice ones on my previous car. After 6 months, I tried to remove them to check tire pressure. They were bonded. I had to soak them in a creeping oil spray and then use plyers to get them off. Never again will I use special caps. I'll just use the black plastic ones.

Good to know! I shall make an effort to just loosen and re-tighten them with every wash cycle. Hopefully that just prevents the binding process. I’ve kept the plastic ones just in case.

One of the best accessories IMO is a stick on number plate on the front. Makes the car look so much better than the cluncky default one. Plenty of examples if you Google.

@@AdamWellinformed I used onestopnumberplates. This time I got front and back, although front def has the biggest impact. I also had a stick on plate from the same place for my first Model 3 and there were no issues with it in coming unstuck in 2 years, although I did avoid power washing it.

Yeah only the front interests me. What did you use to cover the holes?

@@AdamWellinformed nothing, just make sure any raised plastic around the holes is removed. Then use plenty of solution and keep squeegeeing until all the bubble are gone, you won't see the holes. The hardest part is getting it center aligned and level. Don't worry if it doesn't seem to be sticking to the curve, just keep persisting with increasing force and it'll get there.

Adam are you still able to use the Aero covers while using the after market alloy protectors? We have also caught the curb a few times but I like the aero covers and the efficiency they bring, but like the idea of protecting the alloy underneath. Hope you are feeling better. I've just had it and can really sympathise with the brain fog and general feeling knackered!

Thanks Phil, on the up now. If I’m honest I’ve not tried it. I don’t think the intention of the cover’s design would allow it. My concern would be the clips for the aero caps would not fit or they would scratch the covers - saying that it wouldn’t be an issue if it isn’t for show. The other thing to consider is the centre cap would need to lock into place. Lots of ifs and buts. I could try it when I replace this cap, worse case scenario I scratch my old chipped cover! Though I’m not convinced it will fit. Have you considered some alloy gators? That could be your solution.
