Bioware goes hard on all the codex material that you might bypass completely. The Dragon Age world is full of backstory and lore and little details and so is Mass Effect. One of my favourite things to do in Mass Effect is read all the planetary descriptions. All the planets in that series could theoretically exist and all the detail work that goes into those games is just SO awesome. Not to mention all the Easter eggs hidden throughout, lol.
@cygnata3 жыл бұрын
One of those easter eggs is in the description for Mackay's Epic Single Malt, in the Bottles of Thedas quest. "This whisky is older than the Maker and smoother than elven baby-butt." In Baldur's Gate, the innkeepers like to say their "inn is as clean as an elven arse."

I think the exceptionally fun lore tends to come from the strangest places. For example the kingdoms of amalur and dragon age crossover armours for mass effect because they both elude to the Earth Urban Combat Championship which pits top of the line combatants and equipment against eachother with a fantasy-style theme to each team who share their region with the developers of either game.

I never thought you'd hit on Dragon Age drinks, but it's my favorite franchise of all time. Thanks for checking it out and honoring the fandom like this, Greg - I'm personally going to have fun making a few of these.

Cool. I love the Dragon Age series. Please do drinks based on the drinks from the game Monster Camp. Fireball is great, but my dad will never drink it again, when he drank waaay too much. I'd also love him to do a video on Disney drinks, recreating the drink recipes from the Disney Parks Cookbook.

I'll have you know that Dragon Age is much more than just a romance game. Sometimes casual sex also happens.

I like episodes with very specific ingredient lists because it lets me make something closest to the game. If it makes it easier on greg, thats just a bonus

Dragon Age isn't just a romance game though :( yeah it is romance heavy, but the world building is incredible. I've spent two hundred hours on my nightmare playthrough, I spend a ridiculous amount of time tweaking armor and weapons and spells, I have one of the most incredible teams built up. And I just absolutely love all of the lore. Its an incredibly detailed and well thought out universe

Another herbal green liquor is Agwa de Bolivia. It smells like cheap cologne, but is amazing when paired with lime juice (equal parts).

Maybe for "The Golden Nug" it is worth to try golden rapsberries instead of red. It should give different colour (and slightly different taste) ?

Have I played a single Dragon Age game? No. Have I watched the entirety of the Cassandra romance storyline several times on KZbin? Yes. Have I listened to Miracle of Sound’s Dragon Age song “All As One” several times and cried every single time? Also yes. I consider this to be a comparable level of experience.

The Cass romance is the only thing I could bring myself to replay Inquisition for, so yeah, you've pretty much got it.

You should make some of the Craft(able) Beers from Deep Rock Galactic reimagined as cocktails! I would love to see your take on the smouldering, explosive Flintlocke's Delight, or the ghoulish, mysterious Blacklock Lager in particular!

Love the video. Dragon Age is my all time favorite series. So many other drinks in the game that you could do another video. Such a deep and detailed world. Lol about it being nothing but romance, BioWare is a bit heavy on that. 🙂

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it thus far, but for the Golden Nug there are such things as Golden Raspberries... That I never knew about till the missus found a plant going cheap in our local nursery. They're less tart than normal rasps so maybe they could work (tho not sure how widely available they are in the States)
