@marinesole2 yes you do! If you partially disengage the clutch you will wear it out over time especially when pressing on the throttle. Always depress clutch all the way then rev match or you will burn your clutch.

In the old days that was true, so much so, that we were taught that in drivers school - I took my license in 1978 - but back then, all clutches were cable driven. Which also meant you could adjust the bite point. But today, all clutches are hydraulic driven, so you only need to depress the clutch so far that you're sure it's disengaging the engine and the gearbox, and as it gets older the bite point will be further and further up the travel, so as time goes by you'l have to depress it less and less. And the bite point can NOT be adjusted. BUT, it's better to always depress the pedal fully, then you're on the safe side. :)

My car had been sitting for some time. I charged the battery then was reversing the car and heaps of smoke came out from front left of car. Then the clutch failed and now won't go into gear - like it is in neutral. All fluids appear to be normal. The clutch was literally replaced 2 years ago and the car hasn't seen much driving. Could it be clutch again??

Every so often when I take off from 1st gear the my car makes a large singular clunk/ bang that sounds like it goes through the whole car, my clutch and accelerator footwork is fine but I feel at this point it’s just random and I have no clue what’s causing it

@@deanasoriano9517bad clutch you can tell when it goes bad, clutch feels heavier gears get stuck and you grind, your clutch starts making a sound everytime you put it in, loss of power etc

I noticed a squeaky noise coming from the clutch release folk/bearing whenever I press the clutch. The shifting is still fairly smooth. Do I still need to replace the clutch? Or just grease up the bearing

@@shigesan4516 You only need to graze the pivot ball you just take a long Wooden stick Crawl under there And hopefully you can have access flashlight and put some grease on the pivot ball not the bearing don't spray anything on the bearing

@@SataniaMcDowel got my car back a few days ago. Apparently the slave master cylinder wasn't even the problem. Nothing actually was wrong. Which I'm surprised. But what happened was, I tried starting my car but the start motor burnt out due to that. But the clutch and slave cylinder was fine. Still keeps my wondering how my clutch pedal still fell though

It happen tonight in 1 gear clutch pressed down car shakes i turn of on again still same but only in gear 1 so i Try to change gears car when off it goes smoothly so i turn again on it change again good but i think somthing have prob but idk its clutch bad or what
