I've been practicing your jab-cross-lead body hook as my primary bagwork; even if I don't have time or energy for anything else I work that hard. Head movement, ducking and mentally interrupting the combo with incoming counters that has been my primary focus. I always incorporate body shots and same side combos into any serious routine based on your incredible advice. Thank you!

These are some of the most beneficial body shot setups you have got to have Gabriel another one I use and I saw rhis setup from a Bosnian Kickboxer Haris Biber when he fought Elliot Compton this year, he knocked out Compton with a jab distracting up high and then blasting in the body hook Gabriel very important video for beginners and a great reminder for people who have done this for a while just amazing work! 🎉

Hey Gabriel I love your videos, watching everyone of them! Can you make a video about Dieselnois knees and his tactics? Would be very interesting to see your opinion, how he was able to dominate everyone in the Golden Age Muay Thai years.

Nice video! As a short guy, ripping to the body is always a nice move. I think body jab is so good when your opponent is moving in. I can always catch my sparring partner when he tries to be more aggressive, and my body jab just stops him, and i can even follow up with a uppercut or a straight.

Just wondering what you're doing to land the cross, not stepping in with the body jab?
@What_1117 ай бұрын
@@liamobrien152 i do step in with the body jab (my opponent was also stepping in), so the distance got pretty close. Once i land the jab i just comes up with a quick straight. I'm not able to land the straight with too much power though, even when hitting pads. (Idk why, probably because my left/lead foot wasn't able to pivot back to normal stance as fast?)
@liamobrien1527 ай бұрын
@What_111 I think the power on the cross is just foot position and being that close to your sparring partner, using the cross with just a little power sounds like a great way to get off the centre line though. Usually if I'm throwing a cross after a body jab I'll step back out with a jab to the head then throw my cross, just to give myself the space to make sure my punch is getting full extension

Hey Gabriel could you do a vid on Lakhin Wassandasit what made him so great? He’s a Muay Thai golden age legend and a big puncher I think some people may be interested to understand his style since the general opinion of boxing in Muay thai is single shot strikes this guy broke that a lot there’s videos of him on the Muay Thai scholar channel and around 20 fights on KZbin of him

gabriel, my shin does not recovers fast enough from my training sessions, so this one point on my right shin hurts really bad after getting blocked. how can I recover faster or keep training with it?
@artsofallstar7 ай бұрын
Train LIGHT with it, no power minimal speed. wear pads, thick ones if nessecary.. tell your partners “ go light on my shin it’s injured” until it heals. When it heals strengthen it by kicking the heavybag hard, and checking more kicks… when I started I had weak shins couldn’t kick the bag for long, or hard… after consecutive months I was blasting the bag for hours at a time, and I could see my checks hurting people so they would stop kicking me.
