6 Blink 182 Riffs You Should Learn! - Blink 182 Guitar Lesson - Tom Delonge

In this video we take a look at 6 of my favorite Blink 182 riffs. It was hard for me to narrow down 6 of my favorite riffs because Tom Delonge really writes some catchy guitar parts. Blinks 182 may not be known for technical guitar wizardry, however writing a great riff that is catchy with a hook is not the easiest thing to do, and Tom Delonge seems to have an unlimited supply of cool riffs at his disposal. So many of the guitar parts create a texture and fabric that are essential to the songs that create the Blink 182 style and sound. It is undeniable how creative and actually how good of a guitar player Tom really is. He doesn't seem to get the credit he is do within the guitar community so I decided to make this video and celebrate the goodness that is Blink 182 and the riffs of Tom Delonge. I grew up learning Blink and Green Day songs, ah the early 2000s. There’s some really good sounding and mostly easy guitar parts hidden throughout both their catalogs.

Wonderful man! Green Day are one of my favorite bands as well. Great stuff. I did a run playing the American Idiot musical a few summers ago. (Pit band). Great fun.

Thanks Marty! I can't admit to icing very deep into them but certainly like them. I'm guilty of not following "new" stuff often, likely out of laziness and because I love the old standbys so much. I wasn't branching out in the 2000s either. Now my last "new" find was one of your Nashville neighbors Chris Stapleton and that was some years back so I need to look around again. Wolfie I guess.

Totally understand. I love Blink and always have, when Enema Of The State came out 25 years ago I was hooked. They really grew as a band. Tom's band Angels And Airwaves is tremendous as well. Plus he's into UFO's like me. lol. Look up To The Stars ... that's his space project! 😎🍺
