I once went from 20 percent to roughly 10-11 just to get abs ( I initially wanted to go further, but it was starting to affect my daily life pretty hard and I couldn't push myself anymore). It just wasn't worth it for me although I kept on working out, currently up to about 14-15 percent feeling great, and my abs still show. This is so much more sustainable for me, and I'm able to enjoy a wider variety of food and drinks, I don't take any supplements, never even tried protein powder.

14% is healthy and sustainable. Why men are obsessed with getting down to unhealthy sub 10% bodyfat levels these days. I don't know. Its dangerous and unsustainable. Without living a boring monk like existence or using harmful peds. 14% looks healthy and sexy.

Do you track your protein? I try to avoid unnecessary supplements but I have a hard time getting enough protein from just regular foods
@kevinkchao8
@kevinkchao8 Жыл бұрын
@@Rostam. I personally don't track because I know roughly how much protein there is in different meats (it's really not that hard because I'm assuming you probably aren't eating more than 10 kinds anyway). I only eat meat at dinner which is my biggest meal of the day and make sure I at least get somewhere around 15-20 g of protein in whatever I eat at breakfast or lunch, whether that be eggs, some nuts, cheeses and what have you. My favorite "hack" is chili con carne, a bowl or two of those bad boys are filling, and so packed with protein it can make up 80 percent of your daily need easily. I'd like to say though, don't go overboard with protein, I don't know anyone who needs over 200g per day (I personally have 150 ish max on a good day). To put that into perspective, one single chicken breast has 54 g of protein and 100 grams of beef has 25. It's not too hard to get all you need for muscle building unless you are vegetarian, in which case you're asking the wrong person for that.
@bigMoneykilla2
@bigMoneykilla2 Жыл бұрын
@kevinkchao8 You are not correct I literally looked at the nutrition label of chicken breast package and 112 g of chicken breast is only 24g of protein that's why we don't assume or eyeball things.

I used to drink diet sodas every day and now I’ve reduced it to one or two times a week just to be a little bit safer, everybody I know who works in the medical field has warned me that a lot of their patients with osteoporosis drink a lot of diet sodas it’s just a medical fact that is not talked about a lot. In my 20s i could workout everyday and barely rest and feel fine, but un my mid 30s i get very tired after 2 consecutive days of weightlifting. Feelings sleepy and foggy mind all day, but nmn really gets me feeling normal. Now i workout 5-6 times a week and feel great. It really does increase your energy and personally, i feel my recovery has greatly improved. Only take 500mg a day in the morning , some times a 1g if i feel really beat up and sleepy half way trought the day. Dont take close to your bed time or you will not sleep very well!

In 2021, I was planning to do a mens physique show, but due to a certain virus it got cancelled. However I was dieting since summer 2020, doing it extremely slowly to preserve muscle and let the body adjust. Also kept doing intense bike rides through the hills around here. Stayed around 6% for months on end, because I really liked the look. All these months, my sleep suffered immensly😅 Looking great while feeling like a zombie, and still doing harsh cardio sessions next to weight lifting. It certainly drains you, because of my genetics and mental strength I was able to do this, but I would not recommend it to the majority of people!

Getting weaker was probably the worst thing about getting leaner for me. I have no way to get my exact bf % but I think I'm roughly around 11% (just comparing to other people around 10/12%, I know it may be different) and I went from 100kg bench press (1 rep only) in peak bulk to only 80kg (1 rep again, used to do 80kg with 6 reps). Actually did 3/4 days eating at maintenance (2200kcal) and gained back most of my strenght, yet lost a bit again after another week. I had to quit the gym for various reasons and I'll be back in august or september, I'm still dieting tho. I have no idea how much strenght I loss, I know I could do 100 pushups once and now I'm around 70, but Idk how it could translate on actual gym machines or weights in general. Feeling tired and all, but I somehow want to get back to the gym so bad. Legs striations are starting to get more evident, abs skin is getting thinner and glutes radically changed compared to bulk. I'm not competing or anything and I probably won't try to get shredded again for the next few years since I want to get some mass in (I'm currently 56.8kg, 1.65m, 18 years old), but I don't want to get back to peak bulk, I still had somewhat visible abs but it felt so bad mentally.

You become moody, always hungry, hormone imbalances, lack of sleep, lack of focus and concentration, can’t train as hard in the gym, low libido which is not good if you’re in a relationship or just in general. Worst case scenario you can possibly die doing this if people don’t prep properly, but that’s not a high probability.

I don't find pulling down difficult at all. Getting in shape is the best bit! Get to see all the fruits of your labour. Got to have the right mindset. If you think you're weak you will get weaker! Prepping for 1 show is easy. Doing multiple shows and being on hold inbetween..... that is difficult! Dealing with extreme exhaustion after is difficult also. Getting ready for 1 single show is a walk in the park. You either live for this shit or you don't!

@@kittenluvzubecause I have been lifting for 13 years,and I’m surrounded by professionals who lift for decades and NO ONE looks like Jessie natural.Go ans ask people who are taking steroids,they will tell you righ away that Jessie is not natty.I have been natty and I have been on test ,and when I see it I know it.Just you know coach Greg,is a smart business man,he picks and choose to say who is natty and who is not.I have watched almost all his videos.when he say someone is natty ,you will see later on he collab with him with videos and business ,such as promoting coch Greg’s products . Nothing wrong with that,he is doing what is best for his,but I don’t think he is honest all the time.Go and watch his videos where he does “natty or not “ usually the ones he says they are natty,they end up working with Coach Greg.
