Being generous with the icing is how you get the best results. I've learned you put a lot on top and what falls down helps out spreading on the sides. It takes experience to be as good as the cake boss. He can make a cake out of practically anything in the pantry, as can most of us cooks can throw a meal together in the same way.

@@colleenuchiyama4916 Not arguing the purpose of the video but wonder if the finished product could look better. The top spikes are haphazardly done. We expected perfection from the cake boss. Butter cream is easy. 1 stick of butter to 2 cups powdered sugar. Just scale up 1:2 add vanilla extract you can do that to taste preferences and milk 1 tbsp at a time utill you reach desired thickness. And it will taste awsome unlike canned frosting. You need a lot for a big cake I usually do 4:8 for a 9"

@Ladyresin09784 жыл бұрын
This is an old comment yes, but whipping cream needs a stabilizer and professionals use ones designed to prevent melting. It can be replicated at home to a degree, but some ingredients are not common to have on hand
@onemercilessming13425 жыл бұрын
Actually, if you have a few of those scissors that have serrated edges on the blades (there are multiple options and the handles are usually color-coded), you'll find that using them to cut the paper plate edge is faster and opens up multiple options for the pattern on the frosting.
