Thanks Vishal, I'm in the process of moving my hosting provider at the moment because my current one sucks! If you get a blank screen or cloudflare warning, don't worry it's still worked, just the crap hosting provider failing 🤔 You should have it in your email mailbox within a few minutes ... sorry for the inconvenience but I hope you find the book worth it.

Can someone trainee/junior build a micro saas?
@rickblyth Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, as long as you're solving a painful problem for your customers in a reasonable manner, they won't care how many years of commercial development experience you have 🙂

Great video, Rick! I have been Ecom seller since past 5 years. So just curious if your were in my shoes, would you build a SaaS solution serving Ecom sellers which is a niche that would have 1000s of customers(Ecom sellers) and growing everyday day thanks to the ease of starting an e-commerce business today OR Would you rather build a SaaS solution for masses wherein the potential of the solution (e.g Whatsapp) is solving a problem for potentially millions to billions of people around the world?Also should I build my SaaS on MERN tech stack or Python+Django(mentioning Python because if I want to add any A.I capabilities later to my app then I can do so via Python code)
@rickblyth2 жыл бұрын
Hi Om, it depends on your goals, ambitions and what would make you happy. If you want to be a billionaire, then you'll want to try and create something for millions to billions of people but then you're up against the big SaaS companies with multi-series funding. Add to that the increased pressures from investors and aggressive growth targets/deadlines. Alternatively, if you want to be well off (receive 6-7 figures $ in subscription income and a further 6-7 figures $ when you exit) you'd be better looking at Micro SaaS. So, targeting a smaller niche but serving them incredibly well. You can always scale up a Micro SaaS to become a big SaaS (look up BaseCamp or ConvertKit for great examples). If you're already an Ecom seller then I'm sure you'll have experienced frustrations that could be solved by a Micro SaaS app. I suggest listing out the different problems you've faced for which there aren't any great/affordable solutions and consider what you could do about it. Finally, I'm no expert in MERN/Python+Django but the solution to the problem will dictate the languages/frameworks to use. For example, if you're going to create a shopify or woocommerce plugin then you'll need to write them in the appropriate languages for those platforms. Best of luck with your app and feel free to connect if you want to discuss it further 🙂

@@rickblyth Thanks a lot for your detailed reply, Rick, I Greatly appreciate it! Just one last question. I also have couple of ideas related to a chrome extension that could help Ecom sellers.May I know which programming languages do you suggest I gain expertise in for developing a chrome extension?
@reemsham57042 жыл бұрын
@@Om-gg5tk i think probably it would be JavaScript since it will run in browsers
@rickblyth2 жыл бұрын
@@Om-gg5tk Chrome Extensions are written in web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. You can also use extra libraries such as React or Angular and additionally CSS frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap can be leveraged too.
