Pep and Skyline are the only 2 id recommend from this list if you like food for taste and value. I have had a good steak from Jeff Ruby's and the Prescient. Glad I wasn't paying the bill because I can make what my friends and family like better than that for half the price. Saving grace is that Montgomery BBQ wasn't mentioned. Keep doing what you do OP.

You definitely need to go to Alfio's. Everything is made in house from pasta to the smoked meats. The staff are professional not only in service but in wine selection too. You will not be disapointed.

The Precinct IS a Jeff Ruby’s steakhouse…it’s just a different location. Not sure if you mistyped there 😅Penn & Dolores - my friend was absolutely raving about it the other day. In general though - QUIT PROMOTING CINCINNATI. It’s not a good city 😂😂(Lol). Aka: we do not want Californians here….leave us alone in Ohio. We have a culture & outsiders tend to ruin it for the rest of us. (Generally). Edit: I understand this guy is a realtor…but dude, I recommend going to another city! Our prices are fair, & you will ruin that for us if you continue promoting Cinci with your videos. Leave us alone.

@@A-N99-2 - I live in Cincinnati. I know the two restaurants have the same owner. The food, atmosphere and service at the Precinct is not as good as Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse IMO even if the steaks and chops are of the same quality.

Hard to believe that the rest of the state of Ohio didn't have a restaurant on the list. Seems suspect considering that Columbus, for example, is a larger city, the capital city, and has one of the country's largest universities, and has plenty of food offerings to choose from. It also has a Jeff Ruby steakhouse now. I have ate at Jeff Ruby's steakhouses in Cincinnati, Columbus, and the one that used to be at Belterra Casino. I don't feel that the one in Cincinnati did anything better than the other two. The food and service was equal across all three. This also makes me question the list. It is not a knock on the six spots that made it, rather it is a feeling that many deserving spots could have fallen through the criteria cracks. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure why it seems suspect. It's an independent national list ...no conspiracy theory needed, I and my partner are from Columbus and went to college there. Ever since I was born, there has been a Columbus step child syndrome to Cincinnati and Cleveland as if it's trying to prove something. For the record Cincinnati has a much larger metro area. ( yes Columbus "city limits" are larger). The downtown development, architecture, culture and vibe of Cincinnati puts it in a whole different league to Columbus. That is why so many restaurants are top rated. I love Columbus for different reasons. Ex. German Village is still as charming as it was 30 years ago and it has some wonderful suburbs. Columbus is a suburban dominant city.

I have to say, I really do think any Jeff ruby’s restaurant is criminally overrated, their service is great but every menu is essentially the same and you can find the same quality at any good steak restaurant. If you know how to cook a decent steak and can afford a good cut it’s more worth staying home and doing it yourself. Alfio’s is amazing I just went there for my birthday, I also love Sotto the only issue I have is their lack of specials and seasonal options.

The Precinct makes the worst steak! Went there last year for a 45th birthday and all 8 steaks ordered were overcooked. You would think for the price they charge they can at least make it perfectly 🙄. Emery in Mariemont is so much better. They make THE best food in Cincy. Had the baos for appetizer, short ribs for entree and donut holes for dessert. They were all heavenly!

Kreimer's on 128 hasn't the marketing of Jeff, but their steak is better. Also, you oversold the Italian, we're German. We have 60 + craft breweries . We have BREWERIES that Germany would love to have.

@barongroupmedia OpenTable is an app. They sell things, like where to go when you google Cincinnati. They're not the best. Just the biggest payout. The best part of Cincinnati is the honesty. A true Cincinnatian will chat your ear off and not lie to you once.

The fact that The Precinct is on there makes this list suspect. Ordered a medium rare New York strip and I swear I got the chef's shoe sole instead. Definitely between a medium well and a well done. While waiting for my table, sat at the bar and the bartender did have a phenomenal honey infused ginger tea that was her own creation, but everything else was horrible about my experience. Apparently, the list must be for places that charge at least $100 per person, so at least that trash pit Eli's BBQ didn't get on here as well.

Non-bougie best options are Sacred Beast, Ottos, Banquet and just outside of Cincinnati but pricey is 3rd and main in Aurora. Can’t be beat for steaks and Wagu.
